Tight in toe box. Couple reviews say run large. Mine do not night consider 1/2 size larger. Should have sent them back

Got my 11th pair of shoes from J&M and absolutely satisfied as always. The fit with my last three (3) Chukkas have not been consistent with me having 10. 5, 11 or in this case somewhere in between. The sizing was the only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 as I sometimes jump in to my Chukkas over my walking (tennis) shoes for comfort. Nonetheless, a lifetime customer here.

Super comfy. They look a little wide on my feet(I didn't get the wide version). They are stylish and gonwell with khakis or jeans. I like!!

I ordered two sets of boots. They are comfortable, stylish, and are perfect. My only complaint that prevented a 5 star review would be my Chelsea boots sole started to peel on the outer side. At first I thought it was something stuck to the boot but it was the gummy portion separating from the bottom of the boot.

I bought these because I needed a black boot that was comfortable, and I love my Upton lace ups. BUT, these may have the same name but fit differently, they run about a half size smaller and are not as wide. I have wider feet 2E at least and wear dress orthotics. Never have had an issue with JM nor had I had to buy wides. They key has been the shape of the toe box for me, if they shoe is shaped like your foot, I am good. Just wish they would tell you in their description that the lasts are not the same as other "Upton" shoes. Also give you a shoe finder where you can try them on.

I believe it runs true to size and wish I had gone 1/2 size larger.

I loved the boots, they were just too big. I returned them and followed the instructions from your on-line chat so hopefully another size will be sent to me soon.

Like some other reviews I found this boot to be larger than what I typically wear from JM. I wear a size 10 if the shoe doesn't have wide sizes so that is what I ordered. I put the boots against another size 10 and it was visually apparent this a larger boot. The width fit fine but toe box was way too long. I returned and ordered a size 9.5 and they fit well. The toes on these boots are a bit pointed so that is probably why the length is somewhat off. You will still have some extra length in the toe but that is because of the taper. The boots are very comfortable and cushioned. They are a versatile color that will go well with many casual clothes. I ordered some khaki shoes strings and to me they looked better than the dark brown.

Good shoe

This pair is much lighter than my last pair. It feels cheap, including the leather. I would have bought the exact same shoe as my old ones but couldn't find them.

The color or texture was very dull. I am returning them. Wide although it was supposed to be regular width.

Toe box is a little tight in size 12, other areas fit well. Could resolve if J-M would make 12. 5 size. Size 13 gets too sloppy overall.

I love this particular shoe. I bought three others and because they were only offered in medium (not wide) I kept going up sizes. Probably should be a 9 wide but went to 9. 5 and 10. These larger sizes did not work and I find returning shoes complicated and annoying. I have a right foot that needs a wide and a left that's ok for medium. Can you offer more of your really attractive products in a wide or give some advice on how to deal with this problem.

Overall the issue for me is finding a shoe with the correct length and width. This shoe had the width (wide), but was too long. It did not have the feel of a J&M shoe that would last a while and the sole is not easily replaced so it is a throw away shoe. Not what I was looking for. Difficult to find a 7 1/2 wide shoe anymore.

The overall look of the boot is very appealing. However, it runs a least one size too large. I normally wear a size 9 in JM shoes, but I had to drop down to a size 8 for the same fit. In addition, it looks like a muted brown leather but when I received it, it had a shiny finish not a muted look as advertised.

I was disappointed in these shoes. I have other J&M shoes, and have always loved them. These shoes the quality was poor. The two shoes actually fit differently, like they weren't the same sizes. Then I noticed the were made in China. I returned them.

Boot looked great. It was too large. I have several JM shoes size 9 W and am very happy with them. The boots were just too roomy

Boring, dull and not my style

I bought them approximately 2 months ago, the material is great but the sole is very uncomfortable, I thought that the comfort would improve with time and wear but was not the case. I have have been using J&M shoes for a long time and this is the first pair that does not my meet expectations.

Bought these and only wear them to work. I dont wear for play for outsude activities. The front started to come apart and had to use superglue to put it back together.
