If you are thinking about buying these boots, BUY THEM! It was a big purchase for me but now I see that it was worth it. Great quality and design. I wore these for the first time and walked over 12,000 steps with NO ISSUES!!! No break in period. Tons of compliments. Wish I could afford more colors!

I ordered the black smooth Leather. It felt true to size, and felt like it would be comfortable to wear all day. However the leather crinkled and bunched up by the ankle really noticably which kind of gave them the fake plastic Payless shoes look...even though off of my feet they looked well made and sturdy. It was just that crinkly part by the ankle that ruined it for me. The other colors that come in suede may not have this effect, but on the shiney leather it just doesn't look good.

This is a GREAT boot. I'm only returning because I bought two different black boots (one by Born, the other by SOFFT) and the Born boot fits /slightly/ better and my daughter thinks it looks a bit better on me (I'm short, and the Born boot is slightly shorter in the shaft). I don't want to return this Sofft boot but I just can't justify two black boots! The leather is high quality, the shaft is ample enough to fit over jeans, they are stylish, warm and ready to wear straight out of the box. The only (slight) thing to keep an eye on is the back zipper: the bottom part of the zipper is hard to get started, recommend not unzipping all the way to extend the zipper life. I am an 8.5, have a wide toe area and found them true to size (if you have narrow feet, these might feel a bit big for you).

I love these boots! Feminine, but with a lug sole. Beautiful suede. If you are between sizes I'd go up half a size. I wear either an 8 or 8.5. I got the 8.5 and they fit but are almost snug.

Wanted to like it so much but pinched my pinkie toe and it was not happening. Fit my wider calves which was a huge plus.

The boots seemed like they'd be comfortable to walk around in. The shaft was way too tall for me and hit in the back of my knees when I sat down. I'm 5'3 for reference. If the shaft had been an inch or two shorter I would have kept them. Sadly they are being returned. The leather is a smooth leather (from the pics I was expecting more of a pebbled leather).

I wanted to like these, they're leather and they have some kind of Scotchgard tag on them, they're well made and the design is good too, you can easily hold the sides and reach the zip up at the back, plus the foot bed is plush and comfy. Couldn't get over my 17" calf, with socks and leggings just lol. Shame.

I’ve been looking for soft and comfortable suede boots designed for a wide calf for some time. My search is over. Suede is thick & design snug enough so boots don’t slouch down and ankles feel supported. I wear 9.5. M width and have medium arches. Need to see if they come in another color.

I loved the quality and style of this boot. I have a narrow (insert boney) foot and found this boot to be extremely comfortable. However, I am unfortunately going to return the boot because the shaft was about 1/2 inch too tall for me. I am 5'4" and have average length legs; purchased an 8M. I have athletic calves and found the shaft to be appropriately snug. The tread would be perfect for wintry walking but doesn't look utilitarian. Really a beautiful boot and I'm sad that it didn't work for me.

I love Sofft boots, and normally wear a 7, I wanted to wear a sock, so I ordered a 7.5, but it was really tight, a size 8 would be too big in the heel. I love these, just not the same fit I am used to with this brand. I also thought the left boot was tighter than the right.

The calf width was too big for me. Made the boot look more casual like a work boot.

These boots were very pretty but surprisingly uncomfortable. Very hard and tight on my foot. I am returning them.

The foot section of the boot is very hard and very uncomfortable. Unable to wear! This is surprising for Sofft. Previous purchases have always been comfortable.
