I was looking for a low-heeled black leather shoe, and Trotters Doris filled the bill. I have a narrow foot, but the narrow I first ordered was too narrow. The medium width was far better. The shoe is simple and elegant, and it works perfectly with the outfit I ordered it for. The leather is supple, the construction appears to be solid. A great buy at a good price!

Very cute shoe and just what I was looking for in terms of style, heel height, etc. The toe box area is slightly narrower than I would like so is a bit snug, but not enough to return the shoe. If I had to wear them for 8 hours a day, I maybe would not keep them, but I will only mostly wear them to church on Sunday. I have a narrow heel so need the narrow shoe, but sometimes that affects the toe box width as well.

Wonderful shoes. The fit is nice. I have wide feet and a bunion and I'm cautious when it comes to dress shoes. These are winners.

Beautiful shoe and well made. Needed low, comfortable, dressy black shoe. Found sizing much smaller for me than other high end shoes. I am a 7 w or 7 1/2 med and there was no way o would be able to wear these. Will need to order a size up maybe?

I love the styla and the low heel but I ordered a wide width but it felt narrow.

Soft, comfortable right out of the box, and I expect the shoes to soften even more. The style is casual, the heels are low and sturdy, but the shoe is the best designed of its type that I've seen. Good for work, good for smart casual skirts or slacks, especially where walking and standing will be an issue. Less "matronly" than most of its class. An added bonus: they are quite lightweight, thus, nice for travel.

I needed a nice, classic pair of black pumps to wear for casual or dressy occasions and these seemed perfect. The toe bed was narrower than I expected but still wearable. I liked the shoes enough that I took them to a shoemaker who stretched them about a bit and they feel much better. I normally wear a medium and a wide width may have helped with the toes, but I was concerned they would fall off the rest of my foot. I recommend them with reservations.

Very comfortable in the front but too wide in the heels and hard to keep on without heel inserts, but I bought a 9.5 N in a similar shoe by Trotters, and I probably should have bought the 10 N in that shoe as well. Overall, this is a very nice looking and comfortable shoe.

This shoe was reasonably comfortable - I usually wear a 10, 10.5 or 11 depending on the shoe. Ordered in 10.5 and the fit was right on. I did not care for the style when seen in real life. There is a seam from the toe right up the center of the shoe that ends with a little elastic split. Might be why it fit so well. I decided to send it back and kept a different shoe.

Lovely shoe but the size 13 was too big for my size 12-13 feet.

I LOVED this shoe, but it runs so small that I couldn't even get my foot into it. The next size was not in stock for an exchange, so back it goes!

They just looked a little funky on me, but that's just me (and my feet). Comfort was good.

Not as cute as Trotter's Lola, which was my first selection. They had to go back as they were too short.

My days of wearing 4 in heels are over, but I still like a dress shoe with some heel. These would have been perfect, except I ordered a 7N and it was so narrow I could barely get my foot in it. Was a little afraid to try the medium width. I purchased these in the micro fiber which I liked a lot. This is a very sophisticated and classic design. If you are looking for a pretty, understated pump, this shoe is it!

I wanted to like this shoe, and I did consider keeping it, as it's nice and comfortable. It's just not quite the style that looks good on me.

The toe is still too narrow in EE width, surprisingly. So it fits better wearing a size bigger and in the D width. I use a ball of foot cushion to keep foot sliding forward.

This shoe was too long although I ordered my usual size. It also looks a little bit matronly. But I will return it and order something else because I love Zappos.

I like the shoe but I have a hard time keeping my heel in. I have tried every trick there is and I still can't keep them on. They look nice.

I usually can wear a 10N in Trotters. These were small and tight. I reordered a 10½N and the length is great but the heal is too wide. I will now try a 10½S, hopefully that will fit. I have a hard time finding shoes to fit, so if this does not work, I will need to look elsewhere.

I wore these for the first time today. I think they will be a very comfortable shoe after a few times of wearing them. Nice looking, great for the office. They also go well with skirts and pants. Good support. I have a normal width foot but shoes that run in the narrow side are usually too tight. These seem to be just right.

A little too narrow and big for my feet. Size 11-12. 5'9" and 150 lbs. My heals didn't slip out of these too badly because they're built to hug the heal. However, I'm sure the 11's would have been too tight on either side of my heal, and the toe box would have been too narrow. These shoes bordered on too long in the toe box making my already big feet look like Creula DeVille's. Great color, style and quality though. Unfortunately, they just didn't work for me.

Although I ordered wide, the shoe seems quite narrow. Normally medium fits me, but I was ordering, in the last minute, before a long trip to Europe and wanted to make sure that the shoe will be comfortable.

This is a lovely shoe, but the brown was narrower than the black I originally ordered and returned for this color. So I must return these. It can be frustrating when the fit varies from color to color! Nevertheless, thank you Zappos for giving me the opportunity to find the right fit and style.
