I purchased this pair of Merrells for my husband and he was a skeptic at first. He's now wearing them every day and telling me how much he loves them all the time. We recently took a trip to the Smoky Mountains and hiked a couple trails; he loved the grip of the sole and comfort.

I always dread putting new shoes on for the first time because I consistently end up with abrasions and bandaids on the backs of my ankles. These shoes required zero break in time and were comfortable from the start!

Like that they have arch support- I had a similar style from Danner that were too flat, hurt my feet. These are a little form fitting, but I like that. I have medium to low volume feet, thought wear a 13 or 14 for length, depending.
