I LOVE this style, but unfortunately, the shoe wasn't as comfortable as my other Merrells and didn't want to take the risk so I returned them. I wear mostly Merrells because other shoes tend to exacerbate foot pain (plantar fascia/heel). Loved the design, though!

I really wanted to love this sneaker. Design-wise it's east on the eyes and warm. I'm a size 6, it ran a little bigger but I tied the laces tighter. The rubber sole APPEARED to be one that could grip to anything. I was wrong! I nearly slipped in a bank ATM vestibule on a drizzly morning. All the floors I stepped on that day that didn't have carpet I felt the "whoops/ whoa" sliding feeling.
Another incident was wearing to do some holiday shopping. I thought it would be comfortable as other reviews mentioned. After 1 hr, the top of my feet were sore. I threw out the box before trying it outside so it was too late to return.

This shoe wasn't comfortable at all. I'm hoping it'll get better with a little breaking in time. Usually Merrell's are comfy from the start. I was disappointed.

The sole on this sneaker was odd to me. The tread runs almost in a saw tooth pattern in 1 direction and I found it difficult to predict my own footing. I didn't wear it often and donated them. There wasn't the traditional Merrell ankle support--but I might have expected something the shoe was not designed to do.

The right shoe’s sole is not right and feels very uncomfortable.

These shoes were very squeaky when I first tried them on. I thought it would go away after walking outside but alas, now I am stuck with squeaky shoes. They aren't very comfortable either.

I bought these because I wanted a good hiking/trail shoe. Unfortunately I pronate a little and though I thought they would work based on reviews regarding that issue and because they initially felt ok on my feet when I tried them on. After taking a short walk on the trail I found the toes too confining and my foot pronating which created a minor plantar fasciitis when I got home. Bummer. Merrels use to be my go to shoe but they just haven't worked for me the last couple years. This is the 3rd try and I'm done. Maybe these may work for others. They're a nice looking shoe and I believe the traction would be sticky for rocks.

Just got the suede wet due to unexpected rain. Should have thought about this before I bought them.

The quality of these shoes are not what I expected. They feel cheap and also fit wide. The right sneaker even appears wider at the toe than the right.

A little narrow for my feet. I'll go with wide width for my Merrells from now on.

I wanted to love these shoes because they are very comfortable, stay fairly dry, and I think they’re cute, but the tread on the bottom just ruins them. It’s like they are made specifically to cause you to slip when going downhill on any type of terrain. They also are prone to slipping on any kind of smooth surface regardless of incline, whether that be a boulder out on a hiking trail or the floor at the grocery store. Very sad to not be able to wear these without worrying that I might slip and fall.

Thought they would be fun but found them a bit 'loud'. And they get dirty very easily. Overall, disappointed in an expensive shoe.

I love Merrell, however, these particular ones are too tight for my everyday walking. I wish I’d go for a half size larger. Also, compared to my other many Merrell shoes of different styles, these pair is the least comfortable.

Felt at least a half size too small, with zero “give.” I think there’s a price to be paid when you stitch different materials together, as was done in this style. And the price is comfort! The stitching does not allow the foot to move around properly. Also felt a bit too shallow and slipped on and off my foot, despite feeling too small. This seems to be common in Merrell non-hiking shoes, I’ve noticed. They feel cheap. I still love my Merrell hiking boots but the quality has gone down in recent years, especially in the non-hiking footwear (which this shoe falls under). Zappos should probably not put these shoes under “hiking,” either. That’s literally the only reason I bought them, since hiking normally=comfortable. With that said, Zappos customer service is still top notch!

Usually love Merrell and have gotten some of my favorite hiking shoes from them and but I found these to be very uncomfortable. Never tried their casual shoes before but The tongue of the shoe is very firm and I found that it dug into my ankle. I didn't feel that it would break in with regular use so I decided to return them.

While the shoes do look cool, they don't provide the type of support you would expect to get out of a shoe constructed by Merrell. They also wear out and fade easily. Would not recommend.

Bought these a few months ago. Front piece of the sole started lifting right away. Very comfy overall but these hold up as well as vintage New Balance. Both overpriced for the hold up.

I have found that shoes with an excellent arch support tend to run narrow compared to other brands. I liked the shoes but they were too narrow and it is difficult to find my size in wide. They are always sold out.

I've had great success with every pair of Merrell shoes except for these. The tread is slippery on wet surfaces and I don't like the fit of these. They are a little too thick in the sole and a little too wide around my feet.

The treads are all horizontal which makes walking on damp, wet or snowy surfaces very hard. It’s almost like having many skating blades on your feet. Wouldn’t recommend

Was really looking forward to trying a pair of Merrill sneakers and very disappointed. These shoes have very little cushion and the arch support feels like a small bubble in the middle of your foot. They were more attractive online than in person . The midsole is a tan/cream color and look dirty straight out of the box. The treads on the bottom are serious. The best thing about these shoes is they are much sturdier with suede like uppers and strong medial lateral support in the midfoot. They were very uncomfortable and I am sending them back
