I have owned and own several Clarks shoes similar to this one. I live in Wisconsin and this is the shoe that I wear on days when we have a bit of snow and ice on the ground. I wear them instead of boots. Very comfy and safe in inclement weather.

The Carleigh Ray is very comfortable. It has a low heel, flexible sole, and is cushioned inside. It fits true to size.. I have been wearing Clark mules for many years. I wanted something to replace the old boring tennis shoes I always wear. I thought I would give a closed shoe a try. I am soooo glad I did.

I wanted to love these and was excited I found narrow width shoes, but these were still too wide which also made them feel like they had minimal arch support. I have several pairs of Clarks in narrow width and they are fantastic fit. Sadly I had to return.

Shoe fit is not determined as I really didn't get to wear it. The zipper pull came off rather abruptly and surprised me the very first time I tried to pull it up. I fixed it, put it back on and boom, soon as I pulled the zipper tab, right back off in my hand. Very poor design with a thin wire that is not solid, but a cut wire, so it's a pinch type which just isn't going to work. Never even took the other shoe out of the box, thus being returned.

I really liked the shoe, but it was too tight across the instep. Could not wear. It seemed to have good construction.

Love the shoes but sizing for me was weird. My left foot is longer and I ordered a 7 and a 7 1/2. The 7 actually felt better on my longer foot and the 7 1/2 felt better on my smaller foot. I remeasured my feet, tried them over and over, then ordered 2 more pair of 7 1/2 which both felt slightly tight on my left larger foot. Crazy but I think they may have mislabeled the size. I like them so much though that I'm keeping the first 2 pairs so 1 pair fits perfectly for me. This may have just been an unusual case. Just letting the company know in case this happens for someone else. And one shoe had a bit of a separation from the material to the rubber edge of sole.

The width I expected in a Wide was only in the back of the show, no extra width in toe box.

I normally wear a 9 1/2 wide, but these shoes felt tight in width and length. I had a normal sock on.

This is to help others who have foot and knee issues. So far, these shoes are super comfortable. I have arthritis and a torn meniscus in one knee (although with some random other issues) and arthritis in the big toe of the same leg. I also injured a toe on the other foot; shoes that are comfortable and not horribly unattractive are hard to find. I bought a wide (sadly I think my feet are getting wider as I get older!!) and its super comfy on my feet and looks good with jeans/pants. Not a dress shoe for sure, but a casual out with friends etc sort of shoe.

Love this shoe but a little too snug with a sock on for my high instep. Order a 10 wide.

This is the perfect shoes for me. I have a lot of issues with my feet,so I needed a comfortable pair of shoes,and this is it! The sole are removable!

love the shoe, but can only wear them with hosiery socks because they are not wide. They felt narrower than my regular shoes. I won't wear them to much, but for special occasion's when I don't have to walk a lot.

Good fit and very comfortable. Easy on and off with zipper.

I first ordered this shoe in my regular size 8. It was too short, so I ordered the 8 1/2. The fit in the half larger size was perfect for me. The shoe is very comfortable, really cute style, and it actually makes my feet look smaller. Love this shoe!

Super comfortable! Slips a bit on the heel-but that's usual. Love the look!

The toe box was wide enough, but I also have high arches and the zippers would not close so I had to return them.

Although the shoe felt true to width, the heel was still loose on me even in a moderately thick cotton sock. I want these shoes to wear in mid-temp seasons, and a thicker sock wouldn't fit in the rest of the shoe anyway. I also tried removing the insert and my orthopedic insert fit but this didn't work for me personally because 1] the heel was still a bit loose, 2] this pushed my instep up and now my foot hurt. Icould even feel the heavy stitching of zipper and elsewhere. I really wanted these shoes to work because they are the closest I've come to finding a fall/spring / mild winter closed shoe to fit me again. The only shoe I bought repeatedly for many years was a low boot shoe with softer leather with ruched leather - super stylish, casual, light, supportive with soft lining, wedge sole.... and a zip on the inside, a from Cobb Hill by New Balance. They sadly discontinued the model and now their newer still wear the two pairs of old ones that I didn't already donate elsewhere... [my local shoemaker says he can't replace these types of soles]. But I need more support than the old shoes. So I keep hoping. Having a narrower heel than usual on an already narrow foot has always been a problem for me. These shoes may work well for others. I do think Clark is a good brand, but with my problems I can't recommend any other brands at this time.

Very comfy shoe but runs just a bit narrow probably because all the decorative seams seem to come together in one spot by the zipper. Wouldn't recommend for someone with a high instep unless you opt for the wide version.

This shoe is especially narrow over the instep where the double stitching is. That causes it to rub a Bunyan I have right there.

Ot felt tight at the top of my foot.

I love Clarks shoes and they usually are perfect for my imperfect feet (bunion and hammer toe), however these felt way smaller and run more like a narrow. Sadly they are going back, Are really a nice shoe but sadly not for me.

the inside seem at the bottom of the zipper is extend into the shoe, rubbing the outer edge of the foot.

Love these booties for dress up wear with a nice pant suit.

I received these shoes and can't believe how comfortable they are and they look so good on. You won't be disappointed. The look good with leggings, jeans, skirts or a jogging suit. Very nice!!
