I wasn't sure what to expect when they're called "high rise." I don't need jeans to come up to my ribs! Well, they're perfect! The button lines up exactly with my belly button. I feel "contained" in these jeans. They cover my ample belly and booty, I don't feel like I am exposed and coming out of my jeans like I do with the lower waisted ones. No worries about plumber butt! So to me these aren't high-rise they're just, normal! Like jeans used to be! I also like the material--it's thinner and softer and stretchy. I ordered the black pair, which I think will work for upcoming jury duty since they look dressier and have a looser fit. I also ordered the distressed pair not because I wanted pre-worn look jeans but I like the fit and style so much and need jeans NOW, as the weather is getting chilly. They've very comfortable. Even though they're the same size the distressed pair is definitely fitted, but they still cover everything. I have cankles and therefore can't do skinny jeans, so straight leg jeans work for me. Straight legs require straight leg pants. So I would definitely recommend these! If you're plus-size and need your pants to cover you, if you really do want your pants to cover things and not leave parts exposed to the cold, if you have cankles like me or need a shorter inseam...these check all the boxes! So thankful that Zappos makes shopping so easy. Happy Holidays!

They Fit Great and they are stretchy. I am short so I will have to take them up.

Size was fine, but these have very wide bottoms-more like boot cut than straight leg. Not what I was looking for.

So tired of all Jean companies cutting corners and not using cotton. As a person with sensitive skin, polyester bothers me and makes the jeans extremely warm. Skip on this one.
