I really like these boots.. bought them in 10/2019 to wear on my part time job as an aide on sped school bus. I figure I wore them for 7 winter months within part time hours. This winter the zipper on the left boot started to fray ... not zipping and then totally gave out and broke. I’ll send pics if needed. They are great boots for my needs when MN can get messy and cold outdoors, but for the cost... a zipper fail in such limited amount of time of actual use is disappointing. I’m hoping the company will rectify the situation.. I’ll repost if I hear from them.

After about five hours in thick winter socks my toe tips get tender, however the rest of my feet feel good after nine hours. If planning to wear in winter I suggest half size larger than normal to accommodate the thicker socks. Being able to walk in puddles without feet getting wet is also nice. I originally ordered two different pairs of Trotters boots (these and calf pair). I was disappointed that both pairs needed returned due to stitching defects. I will continue to look for a second pair from a different manufacture although I did get one more pair of these simplistic boots because I enjoyed the comfort right out the box both pairs provided.

I really wanted these to fit properly. Size was correct. Heel slipped up & down. Not sure why heel area is wider than normal. I think if it would have been available in a narrow for my foot size, it would have been perfect.

Ready for the snow

I really like these boots. They are really cute and comfy. The inside is cozy. I wear a 12 and my foot is wide, but the 12W is too big, so I think an 11W will work perfectly.

They fit great, and I love them. They're replacing brown boots I had for about 20 years!

This is a great boot. Very cute & stylish with leggings. They do run big. Even half size smaller it's roomy but i can comfortably wear thicker socks. They are not a warm boot but more for style.

I wanted these boots for slushy, snowy weather, because they look much nicer than most snow boots, would be perfectly suitable to wear to the office, and seem of great quality. I purposely ordered 1/2 size up & generally fare much better with Wide sizes, but even in very thick socks, my heel kept slipping. The buckles at the sides can be adjusted, but that did not help enough with the extra looseness of the heel portion, so I am returning, and am unsure if a Normal width would be adequate, or ordering my true size would accommodate thick socks enough. Still contemplating the best combo of size & width!

I took a chance and ordered up 1/2 a size but with my narrow feet, it just didn’t work out. They have to go back. Cute boot, too!

This is the forth pair that I have ordered. This time I ordered two pairs, in case I have the same issue with stiches. Worst case I have another pair for when these wear out. I absolutely like these boots. I can wear them with jeans or a skirt. They keep my feet dry through the mud puddles. Thus far all the trotters boots I have tried require no breaking in time, love that.

With a thick sock it was perfect. Probably could have gone down1/2 size because the width is very generous. Easy on, easy zip and great traction in snow. I really like these boots!

Buying for an extreme-cold outdoor pro football game. Other reviewers mentioned heel slippage (true) and that they run a little wide. 11D was fine for my typically E width. I like the taller height, but I hadn’t realized the boots have a cloth insert on the shaft and would not be waterproof at all. Opted instead for a short, lined Propet boot.

I felt the fit was good. There is a little extra room, but felt that was needed for heavier or double socks. I have not worn them yet for extended time, but hopefully they’ll be just what I was looking for!

Size is good. The other reviews are true: super wide in the heel. What else is weird in the inner sole is narrow and comes out super easily. The boot is also wide around the top, as others have mentioned. My zipper on one was also defective. But what bothered me the most is how the waterproof part and the squishy part are different shades of black. I really wanted to like them because they seem well made and like they would keep my feet dry. But unfortunately, the search continues.

Like other reviewers, I found that the heels slip. I tried an insert, but I am going to have to return them. Otherwise, it fit fine and was cute.

The heel slipped drastically in all three sizes that I tried. 9W or 9WW are my usual sizes, but the heel slipped. So I tried the 8.5WW and the length and the width were perfect, but the heel still slipped even with thicker boot socks.

What the heck?! These are great except for the giant heel space which causes the foot to slip while walking. I ignored the other reviews and thought it wouldn't be that bad, but it was.

I was disappointed in the quality of the boots for the price. They look nice, but when you feel them the material is cheap. We have very cold winters here with a lot of snow and I don't think they will provide much warmth. Also, as in other reviews of this product, the heel fits very loosely.

Wanted to love these boots however; my heel kept slipping out even when using a thick sock.

I loved the look of these boots and especially that they had a zipper. I ordered a 12 and when I tried them on, they were comfortable and fit... except that my heel slipped up and down . They were very wide in the heel. So I ordered a size smaller. Unfortunately they were too small in the toe and my heel still slipped. So still very wide in the heel. Sorry to say I am sending both pairs back and will continue my search for a new pair of boots.

I only tried these boots on, did not wear them for any length of time. I ordered size 11 Wide, and the heel was too loose. I want a boot that I can wear heavy socks with, but my wool socks did not take up the extra space in the heel. I don't want to order the 11 M because my wool socks would make them too snug in the arch and toe box. The boot opening is too wide, like it is made to tuck pants into, but a lot of snow could pile in there, too, if used in deep snow. Moderate arch support, but I always add my own arch orthotics. Attractive boot, just too many details that don't work for me.

Very narrow for WW width. Looked and felt like a B width. Could not even wear it. Patent leather part was super shiny & crinkled to the touch. What happened to Trotters? I just ordered 3 pairs of shoes/boots and sent them all back. So disappointed.
