I had the old style that were all leather uppers for 20 years and had new soles put on them one time. Bottom line is you just can't beat Bean quality. I wear them hunting to and from my spot. I can wear heavy Sox and slip out of them and into my waders. Wear them every morning taking the dog out. Order one size down for a perfect fit.

The previous reviews are correct, order a size down (if not 1 1/2 sizes down, if you are not going to be wearing thicker socks with them). I wear an 8 1/2 size shoe and the size 7 Bean Boot fit well. The heel is small, and I am getting used to it, but have 'slipped' to one side a few times, which I didn't on my previous waterproof boots. They are comfortable, and keep my feet warm and dry. And, they look great! Would recommend this boot.

Fit great. Perfect for heavy socks. Easy to clean.

The boots are nice but the reason for 4 stars is because they only are offered in wide width. One "width size" doesn't fit all!

Great shoe for snow and rainy weather but needs to be made in wider size, EE.

Love these boots! Ordered my usual L.L. Bean boot size (one size down from my normal shoe size) and they fit great. I've had their lace up boots in the past but I like these much better now that I am old. Easy on, easy off!,

I love my Bean Boots! I feel like I'm the only one in Southern California that has these great boots. I haven't seen anyone else wearing these. They don't know what they're missing!

These boots were bought as a gift for my grandson for college wear around campus in the snow, walking to classes and wearing them then during the class. He loves them!

My 93 year old father lives in Northern Minnesota on a farm by himself. He was in need of a new pair of boots and insisted they had to be llbean boots because they are the best. He picked out the pair he wanted and I helped him order them. Unfortunately, as I said, he lives in Northern Minnesota where it gets cold. We now have to return the boots. My father has been waiting for me to return from Florida to make the return. I will be sending them back this week. He loves the bootsthey just aren't winter boots.

I wear a 10.5 dress shoe. The 9 I bought was too big and I was wobbling. Sized down to an 8 (thank you, Sophia at Richmond, VA's Stony Point LL Bean Store, and these boots fit like a glove. Absolutely adore them and wear them daily in this snowy and damp winter!

I had my doubts at first since it's been over 15 years since I owned a pair of LLBean. This year they finally wore out!! So I purchased a set from another competitor and they didn't feel the same, so I sent them back and ordered the LL Bean and I'm very satisfied with these.

It was odd choosing a size two-size smaller than usual but I wound up with a boot that fits.

The boot is very warm and comfortable. My husband loves it.

Bought for older man. Appreciate the ease of putting boot on. Normal shoe size is 12. Bought the 11 and it still a wee bit big, but ok.

My husband wanted these boots for Christmas to help manage our slushy, wet, slippery and snowy Wisconsin winters. He loves the ease of pulling them on and so far, the boots are working great for him in a variety of conditions!

Just what I needed and it's not my first pair so I bought another pair.

Bought this for my husband. He needed boots for walking in the snow/slush, standing at the bus stop, and shoveling snow but not as intensely warm as his hunting boots. These fit the bill and great price!

This was a gift and my son loves them. I just don't understand why you can't make the boot to the size. My son wears a 12. I ordered an 11 at your recommendation. They were still too big. I returned them and got a 10 and they fit.

Im using these for beach shoes before and after scuba diving. I wanted something quick and easy on and off, and beach waterproof, and these fit the bill very well. I normally wear a size 10, and all the reviews say to order one full size down. I wear heavy socks in my scuba drysuit, thus I ordered size 9.5 and they work just as Id hoped. They are a slight loose fit, but Im not running in them. For just walking around they are just fine....

Love the ease of these in the rain-no laces is a win
