I had the old style that were all leather uppers for 20 years and had new soles put on them one time. Bottom line is you just can't beat Bean quality. I wear them hunting to and from my spot. I can wear heavy Sox and slip out of them and into my waders. Wear them every morning taking the dog out. Order one size down for a perfect fit.

The previous reviews are correct, order a size down (if not 1 1/2 sizes down, if you are not going to be wearing thicker socks with them). I wear an 8 1/2 size shoe and the size 7 Bean Boot fit well. The heel is small, and I am getting used to it, but have 'slipped' to one side a few times, which I didn't on my previous waterproof boots. They are comfortable, and keep my feet warm and dry. And, they look great! Would recommend this boot.

Fit great. Perfect for heavy socks. Easy to clean.

The boots are nice but the reason for 4 stars is because they only are offered in wide width. One "width size" doesn't fit all!

Great shoe for snow and rainy weather but needs to be made in wider size, EE.

I was concerned about sizing so I went to the store to try some on. I am usually 91/2 or even 10. Size 8 fits perfectly!

Love LL Bean Boots - this boot is fabulous and keeps your feet warm!

I had a pair of these for 15 years and they were great for most kind of weather but finally the stiches came out and soles got slippery.

I wanted a wet-weather boot that pulled on easily without laces like my others. These boots have worked out well for that purpose. They run very large. I ended up buying a 9 1/2 when my normal size is 11 1/2 to 12 1/2 depending on the shoe and use.

Just what I wanted, a slip on boot that is perfect for going out for the paper in the snowy weather. Not insulated, so t's not for cold hikes, but perfect for quick in and outs. Runs a little large, so consider a half or full size smaller.

Comfortable all day with easy on/off flexibility. Great for wearing all day or the quick walk out to feed the deer and birds. Exactly what I was looking for in a boot for moderate snow depth and of course the LL Bean quality.

The reviews that say they are loose fitting are spot on. They are loose fitting. Took about a day to get used to the fact that they are so loose fitting but when I did, they were perfect. (Refer to picture) If you think you're getting a hiking boot or even a slip-in typical Bean Boot, think again. You're getting a boot you can walk comfortably in, that provides zero ankle support and if you go hiking in them, you WILL roll your ankle on the first root you step on. So don't go hiking in them. Wear them to work on gross days and be happy about it. They're insanely comfortable and waterproof. I had a pair of 6" Bean Boots that rubbed the heck out of my Achilles so bad I had to return them. No worries on these. And for sure order a full size down. I wear a 13 and I ordered a 12 and they fit perfect. I'd totally buy another pair but just know what you're getting into. They are perfect for what they are designed to be.

I received these boots in a size 11 and I was swimming in them with the card reason for return was too large. Initial I requested a refund but I really liked them so I called to have them sent to me in a size 10 and the emails and tracking is very convenient I received my Chelsea boots and they fit perfectly

I absolutely love these boots! They are so comfortable, warm and convenient! Like my Bean Boots in lace up, they run a FULL SIZE BIG, so size yourself accordingly. Also, last year before I got them, I read a few reviews that people were saying even after they got proper size, they didn't like them for hiking, etc. This boot is not designed for that, if you want to use your new boots for hiking, get one of the lace up models. These boots are made for convenience of having NO laces and highly waterproof. So - I wear them when going dirt biking and mtn biking where I will be changing into ride boots or shoes. They come on and off so easy when changing shoes/boots and are the perfect footwear for when washing the bike after the ride. Before you put the hose away, give the boots a spray off and you are good to go! Plus the green color rocks!

I bought this boot for casual winter weather. It is cool in blue and matches my jeans. It does run big so ensure you order a full size down.

Perfect to slip on to take the dogs out, head into the garden or into town to run rainy or snowy day errands.

I already have 2 pairs of this model with laces, so I bought this model without laces.

The boots are well made and will last for a very long time, hopefully. The fit was a bit loose for me but fixed that with some inserts which made a big difference.

I needed a new pair of outside shoes for when the ground is wet from rain or dew and I was going to get a fourth pair of Bean's Gum Shoes but decided on these 6.5 inch Chelsea Bean Boots. Great choice on my part. The best part about these boots is that I can slip them on on the porch when I have to take our dog out (or whatever), I don't have to try and tie them before I leave the porch and they are comfortable. I have worn them with different weight socks and so far all do well in these boots. I can highly recommend these slip-on boots to keep your feet dry while easy walking or simple chores outside in the damp in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Need to order a FULL size smaller. Ordered normal size way too big

My previous boots lasted several years and finally walked away to boot heaven after many years. The new ones are very comfortable, fit nicely and they look forward to at least ten years AND the new ones have a MUCH larger hole for my fat finger to fit in to. LLBean continues to 'Raise the Bar in every thing they do. Keep on Keeping on. .
