I guess they took the suggestions on sizing because I wear M but having not read reviews, bought L for layering. It's the perfect fit and good quality. For the price it was probably the best jacket I could buy.

Lightweit warmth

This jacket is well made and I really like that the material isn't shiny. It has good strong zippers. Although you can't tell it from the online images, there is only one inside drop-in pocket. This jacket fits closer than other Columbia jackets I have purchased. There is not enough room for a layer underneath. If you intend to wear it without any layers underneath, this jacket is for you, but if you like to wear a sweatshirt or vest under your jacket in cold weather, you would do best to pass on this one. I returned it.

Very light jacket but with a tough ugly texture, didn't like that. To big for a Medium size, also very long.

I have several Columbia jackets, in Large for jackets for no or light layering, and in X-Large to allow for one or two mid-layers; this jacket was to be a mid-layer in winter and stand-alone jacket for fall and spring, so I ordered it in Large. The body of the jacket was a little larger and boxier than I expected, but the forearm sections of the sleeves were very tight and the cuffs (which are hemmed with fixed, non-flexible binding) were so small that they were very difficult to get over my hands. Unfortunately had to return it.

The bottom of the jacket is disproportionate. I always buy medium from Columbia, the size on this jacket should be Large. I previously bought a small of this same jacket and it is a real small, but medium is too big, specially at the bottom of the jacket

I like this jacket but the shoulders are much tighter than usual. I usually wear large but I could probably go for extra large with one.

The sleeve cuffs are too small and the body of the jacket does not fit true to size. I am 5'-9" at 175 lbs and the body of the was way too baggy to be considered a "Medium" fit.

Pros: Nice style and typical Columbia quality Cons: medium size was good fit through the shoulders and arm pits but the torso is baggy. This leaves a lot of room at the hem for wind to blow up into the jacket from front and back. This negates the heat retention technology.

Great Jacket by WAY oversized. I usually wear medium. I bought one - it was large (torso and sleeve length) even for a usual large! Sent it back ASAP.

Very poor fit and sizing. I purchased my normal size based on the sizing chart provided and the actual product measurements are way off the purported size chart measurements. Disappointing given the product material is high quality. I'd recommend the Columbia product team be consistent with their product sizing, as I've purchased a plethora of different products in different sizes (small. medium, and large) that all fit the same, and there appears to be very little consistency between sizes from product to product.

I just received the product. I bought it for my brother who is size M. My husband wears L and it was even too large for my husband. Unfortunately returning.
