Within 3 weeks of wear, the toe box of the red version almost wore through. This was his second pair of these (the first pair he had in white broke within 2 months — normally he wears NB shoes for at least 6 months with no issues).

My son enjoys running in them for the support.

These shoes were fine for my son for school, but they didn’t even last half the year. Pilled and the straps unraveled after a few weeks. Not durable.

We routinely buy new balance kids. This was not a good shoe. It started falling apart within just weeks of use. I would avoid this particular shoe.

Just like the other reviewers - these shoes wore out for my 5 year old within three months.

These are the first New Balance I’ve purchased that I wouldn’t buy again. The Velcro doesn’t stick. The flexible material around the toebox began pulling immediately. Unfortunate.

These shoes fit great and were awesome for a short time, but after one month they looked like the pictures I'm including with my review- the top fabric is very worn. After two months the velcro strap won't stay closed. These shoes have only been worn on school days during school hours.

As other reviewers have noted, these shoes are not durable. The "mesh" upper, which is fabric, pilled within a month and offers little support. The mesh also lets in sand, which makes it a poor choice for playgrounds and beaches. The tread doesn't seem as grippy as other shoes. Also, the white sole shows ALL stains/dirt. Would not buy again.

These are a terrible pair of shoes! The Velcro stopped working after a month and the toe blew out with normal wear a week later. They didn’t even make it six weeks.

Don’t waste your time or money with these. My 8 year old had a hole in them within ONE week! Very disappointed with the quality and durability.
