Customer Reviews New Balance Kids 520v8 (Big Kid)

I bought these for my son. He loves red and I love a good supportive shoe. They are both. BUT they break down quickly. They are so soft in the footbed that running feet soften the foam support too quickly.

I did a search on Zappos for boys slip ons. These came up. They are not slip ons, they are tie shoes. My son and I are not a fan of tie shoes. I'm constantly retying to get them "just right" for him. Other than that, he likes them.

The quality of this shoe is poor, my son wore out the soles and the upper mesh within 1 week of wearing. Would not recommend.

Light, comfortable, and no pressure on my toes, in the top or the sides. Like walking on air! I have a high arch and a med-wide foot.

Quality is horrible. Holes in the toes of the shoes in less than two weeks of wear.

My daughter looked at the soles of these shoes and said they looked like they were made of cheap plastic...they don't seem to have any traction. New Balance disappointed me a few times already, and these pairs were one of the worst ones. I needed shoes, so I am not going to return them, but will not buy New Balance shoes on Zappos.com any more.

My son initially loved these shoes but after a month of wearing them they got a hole on the side of the shoe.

These shoes are of terrible quality. My son has had these a little over a month and the entire shoe fabric has come apart from the sole of the shoe.

These shoes developed holes in less than 1 week of wearing them. Unbelievably terrible quality. Wish we could return them.

My son wore these shoes for about 2 months, and then the entire fabric side of the shoe ripped open. The lightweight material that we thought was so great when we first held the shoes, could not hold up to typical boy wear and tear.

The outsole has no traction. I had a couple of cheaply made garbage shoes from New Balance that I am no longer buying New Balance shoes.
