I never cared for the Chukka style, but these caught my eye. More of a Desert Boot look. I bought 4 different colors. No problems with ankle rubbing or pain. I work/manipulate the end laces so it does not happen. All and all, great design, great look and comfort. Thank you Oboz for the great discounted sale!

Really like the shoes. The fit is very comfortable. They also are adding support to my ankles which is very helpful with my job. I walk on uneven surfaces and I am experiencing much less discomfort at the end of the day.

Over the years I have brought dozens of Oboz. Traditionally fit well from the fit go. Not these poppies. They had to be broken in abd my feet are tired at the end of the day.

I returned them because they rubbed so badly on the outside of my ankle. I liked the comfort and fit of them with that exception.

I really like mine. An excellent buy. So comfy and a pleasure walk in!!!

Super comfortable and they look great. They look well made and my guess is that they will hold up well to a lot of wear, just like all my other Oboz.

These Burke Chukka shoes are fine. Nothing special, not super comfortable, no extra support or cushioning. Just average, flat, plain shoes for casual use. Would not buy again for the price.

I bought these shoes for a trip with plans that they would work well for long distance walking and accasional hiking. I ended up doing lots of hiking in these boots and in honesty I like them as much as my sawtooths. The tread on the soles have amazingly sticky knobbies which were great for walks. I did not get them wet and Temps were in the 70s to hight 80s and my feet never really got hot wearing them daily. I think this might be one of the best pair of boots I've ever owned. So multi purpose but surprisingly great for hiking.

My second pair of Oboz, still wear but about wore out a pair of Bozemans. Very comfortable and supportive walking/hiking shoes. The Chukka have not seen much action as yet, but feel great and love the wide toe box.

The shoes hit on the ankles instead of covering them

The mid level fit is uncomfortable on my ankle. The padding around the top is good but does not make up for the odd fit. The actual color received vs the online photos seems to vary greatly. The upside is a roomy to box and comfortable fit for your foot. In a low or high version it would be a good shoe.

Very comfortable! A good boot for light hiking and the street. Living in northern New Mexico the Burke has been the perfect combination of comfort for my everyday shoe. Good insole comfort for light trail hikes.
