I always go for the XA Pro 3D. I don't normally go for the Goretex. As others have mentioned, this and other models are longer than in previous years. I've always gone with the same size & had to size down a half size for all shoes this year. The Goretex liner is built into the upper tongue area better than in previous years - no more sock to slip into - or it wouldn't be an option for me. The toe cap & sole are key for features for me. Fortunately the sides (near the ankle) are lower - some of the previous Goretex models were too high. The lacing system doesn't seem as durable as previous models & I hope it holds up. Thats my only concern. The stiff soles (that I want) make them a bit less comfortable than some of the lighter shoes but these are great for legit hiking.

It's so nice to get a new pair of shoes, put them on and Aah so comfortable.

Second pair of these. First pair i wore for 10!years and wore out. These shoes are amazingly comfortable, dry, light and versatile. Wouldn't settle for anything less. Such a perfect fit- i feel like i have no shoes in my feet. Dog walking, hiking, trail running, my feet stay dry and looking great.

I am out with my dog a lot and my new Salomons served me well so far. They are a perfect fit for my foot. I'd be hard pressed to find a more comfortable shoe. Unlike a similar pair of Nike waterproof trail running shoes I own, this pair has kept my feet dry. Cannot comment on durability as it's a recent purchase. The price point is quite high.

Everything is perfect

I really like the design. Gorgeous! They are tough enough for the terrain. I am around a lot of iorn ore rocks so this toe kick protector is a must. They are very durable and Im extremely happy with them. I did have to go down a half size. I normally consider myself an 8 in womens. I had to send them back and get a 7.5. It was worth the wait.

Great hiking shoes! I bought these shoes for hiking in New Hampshire and Maine. I've done one hike in them so far, and they were excellent. They had great grip, especially when climbing steep rocks, and they were also very comfortable.

Very happy with my Solomon shoes: Super comfortable for long hikes matching with my Solomon socks. Size down cause it's kinda big. My regular size is 7 and I got 6.5 and it's perfect.

Great hiking shoe: I prefer a low rise hiking shoe vs. a boot. These are great - comfortable and easy to get on and off. Good for rugged terrain but stylish enough to wear daily.

Love these. It's my 3rd pair: Love these. On my 3rd pair now. The speed laces are a game changer. Fit well. I have a wider foot. Super comfy. I only wish they came in the same colors as the non-Gore Tex version. The non-Gore Tex versions always have better colors.

Super comfortable hiking shoes: Super comfirtable for hikes, it has a good maintain and the sole has a good grip.

Best hikers ever: This is my third pair of Salomon hikers and by far the very best. I have worn them walking/hiking for the last 14 days without any issues. I love these shoes!

Best Hiking Shoe I've ever Worn: Shoes are perfect right out of the box. Gives my foot stability no matter how rocky/muddy the terrain!

Good Buy: I bought these. they seem well made and have lots of support, bought a 9 I believe it's too large, exchanging for an 8.50. Hopefully these fit well.

No laces are great: I really love these shoes. They are cute and comfortable.

lN LOVE: I searched far and wide for a shoe that was technical on the trail and sleek on the streets. I needed a packable shoe for hiking Madeira, Portugal, but also something that would look sharp with cute fits. This was 100% it. They weathered mud and waterfalls, they felt light running trails, they were super cute going out with jeans and cute top... very versatile. I try not to wear them all the time because I want them to last. But I love them! They withstood the hot cobblestones of Portugal in the summer (grip didn't wear down like other sneakers). And I just took them to slightly snowy Sequoia... still functional! I am a true 7.5 and this was just right with a bit of room in toe box for downhill.

love the colors!! I have had many Salomon shoes in the past, the fit is perfect, this model is great for dirst and city, love the color palette too
