I don't understand any of the reviews that complain about these mittens being too cold. I've done many 10+ mile runs in freezing weather in them, including one in zero degree weather. They keep my hands very warm, and the mitten being a convertible flap is great to pull back and tuck away when they start becoming TOO warm. A plus side to the mitten flap is that you can tuck a Hot Hands into them for weather below 15 degrees for extra warmth, or you can tuck your thumb into the flap to warm that up because mitten thumbs are lonely creatures who always seem to get chilly.
I not only HAVE recommended these mittens to friends, I've been on the look out for a good price on an additional pair. They're 100% worth the full price, but I'm unfortunately broke.

I use these for my daily bike commute when it's below 50F, for cold weather runs, and for downhill skiing on warm-ish days (above about 25F). (I could imagine them being perfect for cross-country skiing too, but I prioritized downhill this year.). They hit the sweet spot for temperature for me, keeping my hands warm without overheating and getting sweaty. They are comfortable, super flexible, and the windshield mitten is really handy (pun intended) for quick temperature regulation, and it's nice you can opt to keep your index finger out of the mitten in order to use the touch screen sensitive finger tip. I wish they were more durable, they pilled up and are getting ragged after just one season of use.

The name is deceiving. These are GLOVES with a windproof mitten overlay that can be tucked away in the back of the glove. The thumb and forefinger are NOT touchscreen compatible. I've tried mine on androids and iPhones and they don't work on either phone. The elastic band that is around the cuff is too tight. It's extremely difficult to put the gloves on over the base of the thumb. I had to pull so hard the elastic band eventually tore away from the glove (see photo). Once the gloves are on they are comfortable and warm and the mitten overlay is convenient to have when it's windy or cooler temperatures. These gloves worked for me down to about 32F.

I LOVE these mittens! I love the slight stretch that the mitten cover has when you're pulling them over the gloves. I love that the mitten cover can easily be pushed back when not in use. I can use my phone with ease if needed, the gloves with so good with touchscreens. I am OBESSED! I've only had them for a month, but I wear them multiple times a week for runs and walking the dogs. I have no complaints! I hope in the future there are more color options!

Use these for trail running in the winter. They aren't warm enough for the really cold days but most days they're great. Love that I can use my phone with them. Only downside is they seem to get wet fast.

My fingers are medium and palms are large, so most gloves are ill fitting for me. But once I get these on, they fit great though sometimes getting them on is difficult. One seam has already split, but I'm not sure I can necessarily fault the glove. I can comfortably wear these down to 20 after that they provide only limited warmth. The mitten part is more of a windbreaker and doesn't offer much extra warmth, but it does offer a place for hand warmers, which is nice. The touchscreen part of the thumb is a definite cold spot and the gloves would be better without it I don't need the tip of my thumb freezing just so I can use my phone, that doesn't make sense. If the mitten part had some insulation, these would be better, and if they got rid of the touchscreen material on the thumb, that would also be better.

I live in Chicago and walk outside during the winter regularly. The ability to wear these gloves with or without the mitten cover is so great! The are thin but with the extra mitten they stay very warm!

I purchased these mittens only by looking at the picture, not the description (which is not like me at all). They looked like nice, warm mittens and I have been a fan of SmartWool socks for decades, so I figured these would be warm.
When they arrived, they were so thin and light - more like a liner. That was when I went back to the website and actually read about them. I decided to keep them & see how they worked outand I am glad I did.
I live in MN, so it can get pretty cold. These definitely are not the mittens you want for those below zero days. But I would say if you're active outdoors and want a lightweight glove (yes, they're actually gloves with the mitten cover that pulls up and around your fingers) for chilly days, these are great. I do wear them in the car once it warms up and like that they have grip on the hands. I wish I had these when I went to Alaska, they would have been perfect!

Use it for my cold to nearly freezing and windy conditions. Works pretty well. I have Raynaud's though so it's not perfect but gets the job done without going overboard.

Very handy gloves / mitten combo that greatly improves finger dexterity while adding warmth for outdoor adventures with the dogs. They are a bit slick and small so easily misplaced or slips out of pockets . I've also used them as glove liners for added warmth.

These are great gloves!! The only problem I have with them is my hands are tiny but wrists are not so have to be careful when pulling them on so they don't rip.

Great quality! Easy to easy to use as described!
Warm! And very durable, I read a review from someone saying they got the glove fell apart.. I think they probably had the wrong size.

I got these gloves for cold morning dog walks and hiking in the shoulder seasons. Having the ability to throw a wind barrier over my fingers is huge and keeps the cold out and the heat locked in. It's also nice that the mitten portion of the glove can be neatly stowed out of the way when not in use. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with these gloves and would recommend them to others.

These gloves are great! They fit as expected. They are comfortable. they are advertised correctly. They look nice! Granted, they are not super cold weather gloves, but for those days in the 30's or 40's they really do a great job of keeping your hands warm. They're good for going on walks, jogs, or hikes.
