I want to like this so bad. It definitely has kept my neck warm on some chilly days. But it feels too tight around the neck for my comfort. When I pull it up over my nose, it squished my nose so much it makes it hard to breathe. Basically just covering the chin is the only comfortable position. Wish there was more fabric in one area to fit more comfortably on the mouth and nose.

I walk EVERYWHERE, and this doesn't stop when it's cold. This product is warm and soft, however, it gets very tight when I pull it over the back of my head, and isn't quite long enough to keep my neck covered when I do this.

Great fabric and feel, a little short for full face and neck coverage

Perfect warmth for cold days. Very breathable and relatively free of itchiness. It washes well and no shrinkage even when dried. It would be a 5-star rating if it were slightly longer as it does not stay up over my ears with movement (where the same product from Minus33 does) even when anchored by my hat. I love Smartwool products and will continue to use this neck gaiter because it is overall fantastic!!

I tried this to replace a merino Buff, as I feel Buffs are so long they wind up bothering me. And their merino isn't as soft as Smartwool. This one is double layer, so it's not that much sleeker, but it is soft and warm. It's too bad it has a seam and a huge tag in it, but really it hasn't been very noticeable. I would like a single layer version for less cold days!

It's soft and the good quality you can expect from Smartwool. But it's a lot shorter and smaller than I expected it to be. I wish it was more generous and came down a bit lower. But still a lovely addition to my winter gear.

Returned as it hurts in neck area even though it was bought 2 sizes larger than my regular.

Good thickness of material, it's warm, but there's not enough actual 'gaiter' here. You can basically only wear it as shown. Around the neck or over the nose. You're not able to stretch it over the top of your head and wear it under a hat like other gaiters I've had. It's 10 inches long, half the length of my prior IceBreaker gaiters and a couple inches smaller in circumference than them. A bit overly snug which may bother people with sensitive necks. Overall this isn't very flexible in terms of the ways you can use it. I can't imagine I'll end up taking this out as much as I thought I would and might end up returning it. It's a shame because it is warm and feels nice, it just needs to be bigger and longer.

The gaiter was too tight around my neck, let alone over my face. The wool was irritating to my skin, despite being merino wool.

I am neither tall nor large, but this neck gaiter is tight around my neck, and nowhere near long enough to cover the tops of my ears and still be covering my neck. Good for kids. 1/2 inch shorter than advertised.

Neck warmer is too small, tight around neck. It is too short to use on your head and face, and leaves neck exposed. Would not buy again.
