I love thin socks for skiing and these are the best on the market

Zero cushion works really well in tight-fitting ski boots. The extra stretch around the calf makes them very comfortable.

This thin sock balances added warmth with thin fit for an uncompromised, tight ski-boot fit.

No padding ruining boardfeel, not tight on the calf, perfect snowboard socks. Not sure why Smartwool lists them for only ski.

Recently moved to a colder climate and I love wearing these knee high ski socks everyday for a little extra coziness.

I use the socks to ski! Thin, warm and super comfortable! A skiing homerun!

These are my every day socks. It's very hard to find nice over the calf socks which are soft and which don't wear through in the big toe or the heels after a few months. Smartwool socks are durable and comfortable, and I love the color combinations. This is the first time I tried the extra stretch over the calf even though I have tiny calves. But they are not too big or too stretchy - just really comfortable!

Perfect for me, compared to the normal version. While I can and do use the normal fit, I notice that after 8 hours or so, they become uncomfortable around the top ring. With these, I can wear them all day long without any issue. They're just the right size. When my other five pairs of standard fit socks finally wear out (which usually takes around six months), I will be replacing them with extra stretch.

I use these for skiing. I have an athletic build and dislike ski socks with narrow elastic bands around top. The pressure that the typical ski socks tops exert has ended up cramping my calves when I'm skiing for a few hours- too much binding!!!! That's really dangerous (just ask old King Henry the Eighth!) I tried these on the moment they came in the mail and I really like the fact that the band around the top is a full inch and a half wide. This for me is awesome since it means the band isn't placing pressure in a narrow, and therefore pinching, manner. It feels so comfortable!!!! I have heaters in my boots to stave off the cold, so I on't need super thick ski socks. Please keep making these socks- my calves love them! By the way- for sizing, I'm 5'4", 128 pounds, I'm 13.5" around my calf and wear a size 4 pants. My calves have to be comfy- especially in ski boots all day!!!
