I don't leave many reviews on products, especially shoes because they are a very subjective item, however I'm very disappointed in these shoes. I got a pair of the original Outroads in December of last year and then recently a pair of the Outroad 2. BOTH of them start squeaking within the sole of the shoe after 4-5 hours of wear. When I contacted customer support they gave me the usual "try powder or Vaseline between the insert and the shoe and that should help," but the issue is within the foam of the shoes. Manufacturing flaw? The fit of the shoe is super comfortable and perfect for me, which is why I decided to try a second pair, but within the first day of wear the new pair started squeaking, so now they are returned. I have been wearing Altras for several years, but am now very reluctant to buy again. So sad.

I use these shoes for work. I was excited to try them as i have outer foot bunion, with which these helped greatly! But the tongue is stiff and stabs me in the front of the ankle, and the inside of the shoe by the ankle has an open seam with 2 bulky lace holders that cause blisters, even with a cotton athletic sock on.

These shoes are very comfortable. Even with the slimmer fit they are still roomier than my previous Brooks. Since I started running in them 4 months ago, the knee pain I was experiencing has gone away. My only complaint is that on one shoe a hole has formed in the top of the toe where the mesh meets the rubberized coating. Considering the cost, for a running shoe that I've only had for 4 months and put at most 250 miles on, I'm disappointed that they're already tearing. I reached out to Altra Warranty but unfortunately they consider it normal wear and tear. So, I may look for another zero-drop shoe brand when it's time to replace these shortly.

I thought this was going to be my perfect trail shoe. Really comfortable and felt like a really good fit. Unfortunately I developed lateral ankle/peroneal tendinitis after running in these shoes. I think this happened because of the lateral/outside arch of the shoe is too built up. Plus the upper of the shoe started developing holes fairly early on compared to previous trail running shoes. I'm really hoping for some good changes in future generations of this shoe because has a lot of potential!

Lifelong runner here. Narrower toe box than some altras I've had. Unfortunately I've concluded that these shoes are contributing to peroneal tendinitis for me (lateral foot pain and/or lateral lower leg pain in my case). I'm not sure if it's the narrower toe box or if the heel doesn't grip me enough to stay in a proper alignment? I've gone through several pairs of lone peaks without issues, though you do need to ease into lone peaks and alternate them out with other shoes so that your calf muscles have time to build. I plan to keep my lone peaks in the rotation, unfortunately the Outroad 2's didn't work for me.

I am normally a 9.5 in the original lonepeaks & love their width!! But unfortunately the 9.5 is too small and too narrow for me on this shoe. I will return them and just get shoes that have the "original" foot shape.

I love the red and gold color. These are NOT as comfortable as my other Altra shoes. I should have paid more attention to the warning that these were narrow in the toe box and shorter by 1/2 size in comparison to other Altra shoes. I agree. You may want to size up or choose another model if you want the typical fit. The color is the best.

I really wanted this pair of Bravey's they are so well made and stylish. However, these are very narrow in the toebox, not at all true to the Altra principles. I would also recommend ordering a half-size larger my toes hit the end and I ordered my usual Altra size.

I think this is a great light weight shoe that would be perfect for a terrains and especially great for hiking! But for my foot in particular, the slim foot shape was not very comfortable and I wouldn't recommend if you have a wider foot like mine.

Sadly, my streak with Altra is over. Not sure if my feet are getting bigger, or your shoes are getting smaller (though I ordered a size larger), but my toes rub inside. And they are rock hard, no softness or flex as I'd have expected from Altra. Very disappointed.

They are too small. I am a size 9 and I'm not sure if I would have needed 1/2 or 1 size bigger. Disappointing and returned

I have an old pair that are a size 7 and they fit a little short, so I ordered a size 7.5 thinking it would be perfect. Nope, I had to return them because my toe hit the end. But super cute tennis shoe. I guess its best to attempt to try them on in a store if you can.

I bought these in March for running. This is my 3rd pair of Altras and while the footbed feels amazing the quality has gone downhill. I retired these after 250 miles due to the upper falling apart.

At 135 pounds I am not heavy on my feet, but the tread on Altras seems to wear down in only a year. Appreciate the toe box shape, but wish they came in NARROW. Have to add insoles.

I wanted to love this shoe! I ordered my usual size in Altras and there was a zero percent chance these were going to work. My toes were crushed right up against the top of the shoe. I wasn't able to run with them so I can't comment on anything other than the fit. They are as cool looking as you think they're going to be, though!

I really enjoy the fit of the Altra Outroad--my first foot-shaped shoe. My toes have delighted in the wider toe box and zero drop. I decided this was my new brand and I then purchased the Rivera and Paradigm recently! I run regularly, but rotate between about 5 pair of shoes. However, the Outroads are already breaking down in the inside and I have had them less than 2 months. BOTH shoes have spots of wear, and one hole is through multiple layers. I only wear them every few days! So I really like the shoes, but they may not be worth it with holes forming on the inside! I want Altra to be my new go-to shoes, but not if they don't last. Very sad.

I have always bought Altra shoes because of the wide toe box, but this overall move toward narrower cuts of shoe is breaking my heart. I wanted to love these shoes, but I have a permanently broken toe on one side and while in older Altras I always had enough room, in these it was just badly pinched and cramped. Sadly not gonna work for me.

This is my second pair of Altra's. My first pair developed a hole in the toe and after an extensive warranty application where I provided more pictures then necessary and basically everything short of my first born child, I did get an Altra credit for my purchase price. Too bad this model deteriorated on the inside at the ankle on both feet after just 2 weeks of wear. I wanted to love Altra's but the materials are not made for people who wear them daily and want them to hold up more than a month.

After about 20 miles of hiking the stitching on one side ripped at the seam leaving a 1.5 inch hole. I was surprised the stitching failed after only a few uses. I contacted the warranty department and provided my receipt showing that I've only had the shoes for a month. They said it's normal wear and tear and would not fix or replace them.

I so wished this had fit. I've maxed out of the women's sizes and have to try the men's now. C'mon, Altra! Please think about your gendered styling and limited size and width ranges. I liked the slimmer fit than the original, but I miss the fit and feel of the Lone Peak 6 and the one before that.
