Fit is stiff and boxy. Nothing like the older models.

I had to try it, but this jacket has a horrible cut. Sent it back within 30 seconds of trying it on. The armpits are cut 6" below where they should be. Just raise your arms, and the jacket will nearly come up to your nipple line. That said, my two other north face jackets are cut well and I love them.

I think I've worn at least six of these over the years essentially they've cheapen the product there's no drawstring at the bottom so the wind gets up there no drawstring or a closure on the sleeves the materials much thinner than it was only a $10 increase but sure seems like you're getting a lot less than what you used to.

It would be nice to have some colors than black, shades of gray and I don't like tan. Options are getting boring.

Bring back old fit. New "Streamlined" design is too tight. Recycled poly is also too stiff. My last one was softer when new

This is nothing like the Apex Bionic 1, which I've had for more than 10 years and have loved so so so much. It's not as heavy, and the fleece lining is not as warm. The sleeves can't be cinched, nor can the bottom hem of the jacket. The Bionic 3 is more of a heavy windbreaker than the Bionic 1 was a medium heavy coat (at least for West Texas). TNF tampered with perfection and has ended up with blah.

Just got this and compared it to my Bionic 2, not as good. Collar on the 3 is flappy and looks bad when unzipped. Fit is different, much baggier in the body and arms than my 2 but also more snug in the hips with no drawstrings to cinch. Looks weird. Overall, quality looks to be down. I'll return this and try find the Apex Bionic 2 somewhere. Also, whats with the bright white logo? The Bionic 2 had a more muted grey logo on the black jacket. oh, and before I forget, the zipper pulls on the 3 are just little pieces of nylon whereas on the 2 they were rubberized plastic pieces. You can see where North Face cut corners but raised the price.

Daily casual wear. Windwall has no interior pockets no sleeve closure. Better main zipper than old APEX. Collar could be stiffer.

I bought this to replace an Apex Bionic that's been lost. I purchased the same size (large) and found it to be oversized for me now. Since I needed this for a last minute trip, I cut off the tags, threw it in the suitcase and off I went only to find this sizing problem after I got to my destination. Now I'm SOL.
Beware - sizing has changed with this garment and it seems to be running bigger.

Sleeves are crazy long. Fabric isn't warm at all. Material inside jacket sticks to every shirt I have. I have thought to myself this jacket annoys me so much I want to throw it in the trash if it wasn't so expensive I would. Maybe North Face will let me return it? Really trash jacket.

I do not like the square shoulders. This was a waste of money.

I bought this same jacket 4 years ago, and I don't remember the quality being this cheap, feels less snugged, zipper is plastic now, and no longer has the adjustable waist. Will be returning it.

I have had two of these jackets. They cut out the adjustable cuffs and the zippers are plastics. North Face used to be a brand known for quality. Not sure what is going on but this jacket is going back.

I purchased this jacket in the Dark Grey Heather color expecting it to fit similarly to my older NF jackets. I don't know why but this specific colorway is made with a VERY stiff, (no flexibility) material for the outer shell. It's incredible uncomfortable to wear and move around in. Very restricting through the shoulders.
For reference I returned it and purchased the TNF black colorway because it's WAY BETTER and much more flexible. The material for the outer shell is completely different and what I'm used to with this kind of jacket.

I have about 6 apex bionic jackets (hoodless) and I love them. However, their quality is no longer there. First the fit is super tight under your shoulder/armit area as you move your arms up and about. It almost feels like its cutting yiur skin when you move your arms. The fit alone is enough to return the product but it doesnt end there.
Previous version had a very nice looking zipper pulls ith attention to detail, now not only are they smaller but also of poor quality.
Previous version i believe bionic 1 and 2 had a softer more mendable fabric now it feels hard as though your are wearing thick cardboard.
The chest pocket opening and overall size of the pocket are smaller. The zipper opening of that pocket has decreased to such extend that the top and bottom scratches my hand when zipper is fully opened to put my phone in.
Finally, you would expect to have innovative or new improvements over the years but its going backwards. They have not even added an interior big zipper pocket for something like a 8.5x11 inch like printing paper.
I use the the hand pockets for just that- hands with occasional other items but for safety would much prefer an interior zipper pocket for such things.

The arms ride up like a suit jacket. Poor quality check through the process but charging a premium price....this is never a good combo.

Several years ago I bought the earlier version of this jacket for that reason I bought this jacket for expecting the same great features and quality. I was sadly mistaken this is a horrible jacket and is nothing like its earlier version. I will be returning this jacket as soon as possible

I have the previous and current versions of this jacket in front of me. Nearly everything about the new Bionic jacket is a step backwards. Most all seams are now only single stitched vs double stitching. Some of the accent stitching/seams were removed which has negatively impacted the fit of the jacket. The jacket now has a very odd fit and just kind of hangs on your body and looks like one of the cheap lookalikes of the Bionic. The zippers are now smaller and undersized. The hemming is simplified and is of less craftsmanship. The adjustable drawstring at the waist has been removed.
This would have been my third Bionic but this will be returned. So unfortunate to see the huge slip in quality that my loyalty has been tested. I will now be looking at other brands

Love your products but the latest Apex Bionic 3 jacket has no drawstring around the waist. The heat is going escape and the wind will certainly be felt.
