After my son get my old Gamma for himself (he loves it and I love him, so I could not refuse), I waited something like 3 years before getting a new one. It took me so long because I was looking to try the new model in smoke buff. Eventually I bought a black one on the website, and I'm so happy
I have again the most versatile (not smoke buff) jacket I've ever seen.
Just a technical info to help : I'm 1.76m, 66 kg, and the M fits perfectly.

Solid quality; L; excellent fit. 6'2" 190 athletic thin build. Fits proper; great quality. Not a high insulation jacket, just a nice looking quality shell for daily use. Will continue as a customer.

Great for travel. Not too hot, not too cold. This will be my new jacket for long flights.

This my third Gamma jacket, first two were large due to sizing, usually a medium, now they have changed the sizing now a medium is perfect.
Amazing jacket, would highly recommended.
Shout out to customer support, went above and beyond!

Needed a tough windbreaker for motorcycle riding in 30-50 F weather. This has been solid under my motorcycle gear and has kept me warmer than my previous non arcteryx jackets. Runs small.

I needed a lightweight jacket for the summer and ordered this one. I have been really happy with the quality and fit of the jacket. It is exactly what I was after so I'm a completely satisfied customer.

Great light weight jacket which makes it very versatile. Blocks the wind and can be layered with heavier coat in winter. Size runs true. Great fit. Easy to move around in.

This is my third Gamma jacket, I'm usually a medium but in this jacket I'm a large.
Only recommendation would be to stitch the inside pocket to the mesh liner as people put their phones in there and they are pretty heavy.

I love this jacket! It's lightweight and warm, very well made. Great in the rain as well as in the cold. I've had it several years. My wife borrowed it one time and liked it so much that she absconded with it so I bought a second one for her. Now we each have our own. Peace restored lol.

The perfect travel jacket. The fit is perfect and the Gamma fills an important niche when you want a light jacket but dont need a full fledged totally waterproof crinkly shell. It also packs small and is suitable for casual and business casual. It covers temperatures for me from 50-70 comfortably and even down to 45 when active.

This is a great looking jacket. I usually wear size small (5.5, 135lb). However, the fit is awkward. The arm pit is extremely tight. I mean this is not a super light softshell, why making it so tight even with a just tT-shirt. I would go gamma mx with a better fit.

I would love to buy a replacement for my much loved 8-year old Gamma LT, but I can't quite bring myself to walk around with the logo on the collar. I really wish Arcteryx hadn't made this marketing decision on so much of their clothing -- I find it needy and shouty. I buy Arcteryx for their incredibly functional design and beautiful construction, not to become a walking billboard.

The latest version of the Gamma Jacket is a really nice shell. It's everything you'd want in a lightweight shell including an inside pocket, something not available in many of Arc'teryx other lightweight jackets. As someone who often travels to Europe, you want an inside pocket for security reasons. Butt while the inside pocket is nice, it could definitely be a bit larger (not a deal-breaker for me).
However, the big issue I have with this jacket and reason why I will be returning it is that there is not enough room in the armpit areas. I'm about 5'8" 165lbs and wearing anything underneath including just a t-shirt is just too tight in the upper area of the coat (primarily armpits). Note: I'm trying on a Medium-sized and not that bulky of a person (if you lift weights, don't even bother with this jacket). I tried the Large, but arm lengths is just too long for me and it's a bit loose.
I've read other reviews here with folks expressing the same issues, but it doesn't appear that Arc'teryx has addressed this design-flaw yet which is too bad as I'd buy this in a heart-beat as soon as they add a little more room to the armpit.

I've purchased between 30-40 Arcteryx products over the years, but I'm starting to think the brand is no longer for me. The garments used to be made to fit athletic, active bodies, and now the sizing and cuts have changed and it's no longer reliable at all. I ordered the M and L in this jacket, and the M is too small and the L is far too big in the body. I've worn L for years and years with Arcteryx, and now with the change to the sizing, L is now an ugly cut...that would only fit an overweight person with a big belly well. It's sad to see Arcteryx become a mass market fashion brand, and forget the customers who made the brand successful in the first place.

Please stop plastering your name all over the product. I think your customer enjoyed your subtlety. It becomes a non-starter for me.

Could you please consider going back to subtlety. The name in block letters on the collar is of no desire to me. I often like your new products til I see the prominent display
