A gift to my college granddaughter for Christmas who is thrilled with the backpack and it's different compartments - says it is sturdy and perfect!

You know.. I wasn't completely sold on the color but after having had the backpack for a few days, it's growin on me. I used it for a trip recently and loved thst it had more inside room than other versions.

Consider adding the hip belt pocket like the Gregory and Osprey, and you will have a winner.

The Recon is much better choice than the Borealis. Having the exterior pocket is better than the bungee straps and also, this backpack is better balanced. The Borealis narrows too much at the bottom and ends up being top heavy. Only complaint is how stiff the back panel and shoulder straps are initially. I am thinking these will loosen up over time.

The idea of this backpack is great. The computer pocket and water bottle pockets are functional. I also like the mesh pocket feature and strap options. Upon looking at the bag, there seems to be plenty of space for organization, however, because of the design, it is hard to fill the organization pockets. The front organization pockets don't expand. When you fill the front pocket, it is harder to close the zipper and makes it top heavy so that it no longer stands on its own. It also takes away space from the main pocket when full, making it hard to utilize the entire main pocket. This is a pretty good backpack, besides the poorly designed front organizational pocket. I think it would be better if this pocket was more stretchy and flexible so that it expanded away from the main compartment instead of into it. I will be keeping the backpack despite this flaw.

The bag is of good quality. But it's very expensive.
The look and feel are very nice and my kid likes it a lot. The rose gold metal and zipper give it a lift and looks elegant. There are lot of compartments for everything that a school-goer needs. Very happy and satisfied with the bag.

Good size for daily use. The zipper doesn't feel as sturdy as the older models and there are no internal pockets with pen, pencil spots etc anymore.

Great, sturdy backpack! It was a bit smaller than I thought it would be but it holds everything I need. It does not strain my back and feels very light when I wear it. Quality is excellent and it has a decent number of pockets to keep organized! The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't stand on its own.

You can fit so many things and there are different compartments.
The shoulder straps hurt a bit when wearing thin clothing.

Super comfy to wear. Functional front pockets. Total volume feels a little smaller than expected. The main pocket is fairly narrow and doesn't fit as much as I would like.

Thissss is the bag to buy. Best bag that they sell; doesnt tip as easily as the jester or any other bag, good amount of pockets and space, and NO BUNGEES!!!

Good for a short day hike but needs a more robust strap around the hips for a multi day, longer distance hike. There was too much pressure on my shoulders.
Roomy with a lot of carrying capacity.

This back was so spacious honestly loved it. I could fit my school laptop in all my folders. It was really organized as well. I would recommend this backpack for sure . Although it didn't fit my lunch bag it was amazing .

Overall love the backpack and its sturdiness, and the rose gold accents! I wish the outermost/smallest zipper pocket did not get super tight as quick as it does when using all the pockets, because it makes it very tight for the main pocket area. Otherwise, I appreciate the ergonomic design and how weightless my heavy belongings can feel. I also love the laptop pocket and the protection from hitting the floor when setting the bag down.

I really like this bag. A bit smaller than I was expecting but otherwise functional and works for what I need! Very sleek, love the coral accents. I do wish the side pockets were a little more stretchy.

Bought this backpack for my daughter for school. She loves the various pockets for good organization. And the water bottle holders are a plus, especially since they can hold bigger bottles. Sometimes it does have difficulty standing upright, that would be my only suggestion for improvement.

I thought I was going to really like this backpack but now that I have used it, the flaws are presenting themself. The biggest one is the off balance of the bag. The smaller zippered front section can hold a decent amount, but as soon as you start to fill it beyond just pens it starts to bulge out and makes the backpack top heavy, thus it falls over. If this section is filled, it partially blocks the front bottom of the bag from being used in the larger back section of the backpack. This leads to the front bottom of the backpack being empty contributing to instability even more. It's a well made backpack and great looking but a non functional design Too bad because I thought I had found a great pack.

The backpack is very high quality and stylish. However, it can barely hold my middle schooler's school supplies. On a heavy homework day, she needs to carry things in her arms. The advertised capacity is large, but the overall depth of the backpack just is not large enough, especially if carrying a laptop as that compartment just bulges into the main compartment, taking up space. I do not recommend this as a school backpack.
