Had to break these in a bit before feeling comfortable - for the first few weeks they bruised my feet. I like my laces tight, however the side zipper on these tend to come down when the laces are tight enough. This leads to the shoe often feeling loose after a period of time. The leather on these shoes is also somewhat underwhelming; I have worn these on only work days for less than two months and the leather scuffs and tears easily.

Fit was great.

Bates products are totally awesome, I have purchased safety boots for several years from Zappos and I am a forever customer. Selection, shipping, customer service are the best.

The boots are lightweight and, for the most part, comfortable. The tongue, however, moves out of place constantly. It is a pain to have to put it on and adjust the tongue.

The fit and size were well enough to use thicker socks if needed. Unfortunately the zippers were hard to use after the sixth month and tore from the boot by the eight month.
