Size and fit seems great My son said they are very comfortable, however I’m disappointed as I thought we were getting the toggle closure , which is a big help with young ones who don’t know how to tie their shoes yet. We have yet to test them against the elements so I will update review when we do.

Bought these for my son who happens to have the same sized feet as me presently and, like me, high arches. He said they were ok when he tried them on, but I felt he was just not that interested or trying to make me happy. I tried them on: these boots are not at all snug or supportive. they are basic with no extra cushion and have a rigid and hard heel-back which I am sure would have given him blisters. Come on Columbia!—kids do not have time to "wear-in" their leather boots before their feet grow out of them. I do not want his experience of hiking or camping to be miserable. Possibly for kids with flat, wide feet, and extra wool socks.

Worked even for the most picky child. These are the only boots he agreed to wear - I wish these were made in a size beyond 7.

Daughter hiked 5 miles in these, without any issues as to fit or comfort. The boots were not as waterproof as we had hoped. Water got through the upper toe and tongue area eventually, but this was an extremely wet hike through a downpour thunderstorm. The boots look great on daughter's foot, too, which is important to her. We purchased black, size 2.

I ordered this item due to the drawstring laces. The boots I received had regular tie laces.

Not waterproof, shoes ruined after one hike! Water stains all over!
