This boot was too narrow, even having gone up a half size. For wide feet, not ideal.

These shoes won't be worn so much in the summer. I find them well made, but heavy and hot. They do fit a bit small, 100% of my other shoes are 10.5 and these are size 11. I suspect they will break in and fit nicely. They do "look cool" and are expensive retail but purchased on sale the price is fair. Found I can step in and out of them without unlacing. There needs to be a slot to run laces through to keep the tongue straight.

The Good - I've had toe pain with other hiking boots - tried wide sizes, various taping methods, etc without relief. Since I don't have the problem with running shoes, I figured it made sense to try a hiking boot that's flexible and padded like a running shoe. The Kaha solved my problem. No pain (and no need for taping). Did 75 miles on the Camino de Santiago and many other hikes (with elev gain/loss) without any issue. The Bad - with as much padding as this shoe has it's surprising that there is none at the rear/side of the shoe and behind the heel - just fabric separating the plastic shoe from your foot, and stitches connecting the fabric immediately behind the heel. Quickly got blisters on the rear side of my foot and on my heel. Problem solved with molefoam padding pasted on side and heel but this shouldn't be necessary with such an expensive shoe. Most other shoes I've owned had padding in these spots (although were problematic for other reasons as described above). Note Gore-Tex did not hold up to multiple days of rain on the Camino - too easy for moisture to invade shoe.

I use these for work as postal employee. They absorb the shock of getting in and out the truck. I normally got a the 170 but they discountinued those.

My only regret is this boot is not as soft on the footed as my first Hoka hiking boots I had. But these boots are serviceable.

This boot would have been great for me, except that I need a women’s wide boot, and Hoka does not make them. They suggest the unisex as being wider but it is not wide enough in the forefoot. They do not make Men’s boots in my size, so that’s not an option. Otherwise this would have been great for me. This is very disappointing. I will simply have to look to other brands.

Shipped and arrived quickly. Have only worn Hokas for 3 years now, great shoes! On this hightop pair, I don't care for the top part of lacing. Didn't have my preferred color in my size in stock. Hopefully I will have the support for my ankles that I need. Will write another review in 3 months.

I found KAHA2GTX hard so I bought a speedboat which is softer on my feet. However I wish HOKA increases the witdth of the Speedboat so it is a wee bit more comfortable.

These boots look great and seem well built, but unfortunately they were too narrow for me. My feet are somewhat wide at the toes, but wide widths are often way too wide for me at the heels. So I generally tend to look for shoes with a wider toe-box. These are not it... When I first put them on, they seemed great, but after hiking for a few hours, the sides of my feet and my pinky toes were sore... The return could not be easier though. I really appreciate Hoka letting us to wear the shoes outside to really try them out.

The boot fit as expected. I needed an over the ankle shoe with a very plush feel. It was a little too firm for me.

Definitely a lacing upgrade and good quality construction, but these boots don't stand up to the comfort of my Stinsons. Regretting this purchase.

Sadly I will be returning these as much as I wanted to like them:\ The fit and size were fine, but the tongue to them isn't wide enough with thick socks (I have skinny ankles) and left gaps on either side. Because I primarily want to use these as a hiking shoe in winter and muddy conditions, not being able to have them completely close around my ankle is a problem.

I just got these today and they are not like the non waterproof boots that are super cushy. The GTX waterproof boots I have are not cushy have a ankle bone pain where the leather is for the eyelet. It's extremely painful on the ankle bone and there's barely any cushioning like the other Hoka Boots I tried in the store. It's advertised for plush and they are not that in any respect. Is it just this pair or is it to be this way? I don't know what is different from the two boots one waterproof and the other non waterproof. Did you change the cushioning for the waterproof boots? They are really stable and the colors are almost exactly like my Topo's shoes that are way more comfortable and cushy than the Hoka's I just got in the mail today. Can you please help me out why they are not what I expected to get like your non waterproof version that was a dream wearing and walking like I'm on a cloud, thanks Sean

Fit and size are ok. Problem is an annoying seam at the back of the heel, it rubs on my foot. Weird design flaw on an expensive shoe

This is my 3rd Kaha GTX & behind the tie loop is a metal piece holding the tie. This metal piece has absolutely no padding, so if you lace up tight it digs into your ankle.

The specific shoe is terribly designed. That leather toe on the front cuts into the side of the shoe as you step. I wore them five times. On the side it was tearing because that toe was stabbing into the other fabric. Same exact spot both shoes. Comfort best boots I've ever had. Customer service was terrible. Not going to go into the whole story but think my exchange is the last pair of Hokas I'll buy.

The insole on these boots are great but only less than a year into wearing them and the front stitching starts coming off. Definitely not worth the price in my opinion. Tried to use the warranty or at least get a discount off on a new pair and the only thing customer service could offer was 10% off. I don't think that's acceptable especially paying more than $200 on a pair of shoes.

I bought a pair of Kaha GTX about a year ago. I took them on my first longer hike and they gave me blisters on my heel. It's too late to return and now I'm stuck with some very expensive boots.

I have tried wearing these 3 times now and even with an aftermarket insert they tear my feet apart! I need to return them. Now don't get me wrong these may be great for other people but not for me.

Sadly, this is the third pair of Hoka hiking boots I have returned. The old Kaha design had a wider toe box and fit perfectly and comfortably from the first hike. I haven't quit trying for a fit and ordered a men's size 7D hoping that the toe box is ample. I'm so disappointed in the design changes in the new styles. I'm a small person and don't have fat feet, so wondering if other hikers are having issues with the narrow toe box.

I've been wearing Hoka hiking boots for nearly 10 years. Kaha always fit perfectly. The new Kaha 2 Has a narrower toe box. I ordered both women's and all gender size and both were too narrow. I also tried the Speedgoat and have the same problem. Hopefully Hoka will return to the original Kaha design.
