Fit was great. My sneakers and other friends that also have Brooks sneakers have discussed how easily they get dirty and the inability to clean them. The dirty part was the top towards the toe. I ordered gray so they would not show dirt not that I do dirty work. After 2 months of ownership they looked like I had them 8 months. After washing them there was no difference. I rarely wear them. My friends say they seldom last a full year before falling apart. As with most sneakers the bottom grooves trap dirt and bring it into the house.

It was a shame, I liked the way these shoes looked. The fit though was very disappointing. I've owned the Brooks Addiction Walkers and purchase the same size Trace 3 sneaker. The Addiction Walker is the most comfortable sneaker I've ever owned and the Trace 3's are the exact opposite. I was standing the entire day and when I needed support the most the Trace 3 failed me.

Sneakers were uncomfortable for me at the heel. Felt as if my heel did not align with the bed of the shoe. That and the tongue wants to move all the way to the side as well. I've been wearing Brooks for quite a few years and I'd say this is the first time I had a fit like this.
