The color was a little too bright for me. and my sole could feel the individual "bumps" of the grips/spiles on the bottom of the shoe.

Good shoe. I was expecting a bit more wrap around the heel. I feel the ankle is too low and rocks and debris will get in easily.

I am on my second pair and it's probably my favorite trail running shoe. I feel confident and comfortable in this shoe on any terrain including technical, steep mountain trails. Traction is excellent. Stability is very good for a shoe with this stack height. Comfort is where this shoe shines. The midsole reminds me of the EVO Speedgoat, just the right balance of cushion and responsiveness. I have high arches and get plenty of support. The only complaint I have is the durability. I got about 280 miles out of my first pair before the upper blew out. I almost didn't buy a second pair because of this, but the shoe is so good in every other way that I had to. Hoping to get more miles out of my second pair.

Comfortable tread, feeling of security on technical terrain, happy to use Merrell. I will soon use them in Skyrunner Orizaba, Ver. Mex

Shoe is too narrow. Also, the drop is significantly more than advertised (6mm). Feels like a 10mm drop.

I purchase these shoes online and when they arrived, I loved the way they felt on my feet and they felt really cushioned. I was looking forward to getting them out on the trail for a test but unfortunately I didn't like how my heel kept lifting while walking around the house. I tried a few different lace techniques but nothing seemed to help. I did read prior reviews that this happened with other people, but I still ordered in hopes that they would fit my feet better. Maybe if I would have sized down a half size, it would have been better. but I always size up for hiking to allow swelling. Had to sadly return

Im 6 200lbs, break in run 11miles. Snug & vented upper, feet stayed cool, cushion is just right, stable, rock plate+stack works great! Awesome shoes to get in training miles but light weight to race in.

I love Merrell shoes and hiking boots. With that said, I really dont like these. I bought these online when I knew I shouldve gone to the store. After 2 work outs Ive determined that they just dont fit me well. The arches in both feet hurt after just a few minutes. I didnt pay close enough attention to the color. Seafoam green and purple is almost nauseating in person. I understand why they were discounted so much. This is the first pair that Ive not liked, but Ive also gone to the store and tried on all of the other pairs.

I have around 50 miles on my pair, including the 24.5-mile, 2200+ feet second day of Moab Run the Rocks as well as a few runs in typical PNW terrain (roots, mud, etc.). The Good: This shoe is very comfortable and has good support, without an aftermarket insole, for my high arched feet. The toe box is generous but not sloppy, and the booty-like tongue system wraps the midfoot nicely. The midsole has nice rebound, and you don't feel like you're getting bogged down at toe-off like you do in mushier max cushion shoes. I think the rock plate helps with this while also providing plenty of protection, along with the rockered shape keeping you moving. However, there's just enough ground feel to keep you in tune with the ground. The outsole uses Vibram Megagrip, which is always a plus, and the lug pattern works very well in mud. The Bad: The heel pocket seems too wide compared with the rest of the shoe. Even with a heel lock, it feels like I'm sort of floating in the heel. Lift isn't the issue, but rather it's a lack of lateral security. This is compounded by another issue, the narrow footprint of the shoe at ground level, particularly in the heel. I feel as though a few more millimeters of width in the heel where it hits the ground could make the aft part of the shoe feel more stable. I definitely feel more stable staying up toward the front of the shoe. If I get back on the heel, particularly in technical sections, it gets a little squirrelly. While the outsole is plenty grippy, the long, widely spaced lugs do mean less rubber meets the terrain on stuff like wet roots, so there are some limitations compared to a less aggressive lug pattern. Also, the front of the shoe could be a little more breathable, but YMMV. Overall this is a solid shoe that moves along very well. I am definitely enjoying them and still am figuring them out for my applications. The bad things I listed are in no way deal breakers, but I do feel a couple minor changes could make this shoe a true max cushion technical terrain beast. As it is, you can cruise up to moderate terrain for hours in total comfort.

I love the Agility Peak line but these aren't quite as good as the last version. The run bigger(longer) and seem to ha e a few touch points(likely because they are bigger) in the heel. I still like them but they don't have the glove-like feel of the last version. I love all the new color variants and the price was right but will be more of a walk around shoe than my goto trail shoe.

Great lightweight shoe to hit the trail. Took them on slippery hikes on Maui so far and never had any issues with traction. And the combination of cushioning + rockplate works. great, too. No issues of sticks or rocks tickling the bottom of my feet. At the same time I was always feeling well connected to the surfaces Im walking on. Full confidence and trust in my steps! True to size, no blisters or other aches. Cant wait to take them on the first trail run back in Central NY when the winter weather is over. I took the model without gore-tex for more breathability. Again, they did well in the humid Maui weather :-)

I've been wearing these for a couple months for trail walking and every day wandering. I love the shoes but find them to be a little soft. I wish the insoles weren't glued down to the footbed so I could get them out without risking damage to the footbed. If that was possible I could put my orthotics in to help stiffen up the shoe. Other than that, the shoes were comfortable from day one, fit my narrow feet well, and looked great.

I'm a mailman and walk 6-10 miles a day 5-6 days a week. I've been carrying for 22 years and I go through shoes like a kid goes through a pack of gum. Something I need has got to be affordable and long lasting- these have done that so far.

The Men's Agility 5 sneakers by Merrell are total winners! They offer a sweet balance of comfort, support, and performance that makes them perfect for daily activities like hiking or trail running. The mesh upper keeps my feet cool, while the easy-to-use lacing system provides a snug fit. Plus, the cushioning in the midsole and contoured footbed make sure my feet stay comfy even after hours of wear. Overall, I'm stoked with these shoes! They grip well on uneven terrain, and the agile midsole makes quick turns easy without sacrificing stability. If you're looking for a reliable, comfortable pair of sneakers to keep up with your active lifestyle, give the Men's Agility 5 shoes a try. They're great for casual hiking or trail running, but also perfect for everyday wear around town.

This shoe is very good-looking. I immediately got compliments when I wore the shoe. While wearing the shoe I noticed how light it is and how cushy the sole is. It's also quite airy which helps in the hot Texas climate. The only reason I don't give this shoe a 5-star is that the foot support could be a bit stronger. I'm comparing this shoe to my Hoka shoes and they provide the support that I was expecting from the Agility Peak 5 pair.

Okay, I have to say that I originally got these for their appearance but theyve turned out to be excellent shoes. Theyre so comfortable, great to wear for any occasion and great to wear when you need a shoe that holds up great for longer periods of time on your feet. I absolutely am drawn to the look of these shoes though. The orange and blue mix really well together, not to details on the shoes themselves. These shoes have held up really great on my runs, especially through the rain.

I loved the look (tan ones) and lightweightness when tried on. My little toes however were feeling the outside wall more than the usual feel I get with my other Merrells' toe boxes (hiking shoes). I went to remove the insole, so I could slip in my sport orthotics, but found that the shoe's insole is attached under the forefoot. I've returned them..and I'm still in search of a light, wide toed trail runner.

I have been using Merrell trail shoes during the past 8 years. After I wore this pair during a though 100-miler race, I can say: Pros: -Lightweight (9.5 Oz in 8 US). -Cushion is fantastic. Its rock plate really helps. -Excellent grip, perfect for technical terrains. -Exterior is very protective. After 120 miles shoes look in a very good condition. Con: -It would be perfect if they were more confortable. Not bad after all (zero blisters during my race!). Agility Peak 5 was the right choice.

Disappointed in this shoe. Ive only walked on concrete and the side of the soles are losing their color. I thought they were trail tanning shoes?
