Bought these shoes because they had ice grip on the bottom. I live in a snowy and icy area and fell last year, so having a good grip is very important to me. Since I already have a pair with Arctic grip, I knew they would be far better on ice than the average shoe. What I didn't expect was how comfortable they anre and how good they look. Can easily take them from outdoors to a meeting.

They fit comfortable, I'm a big guy and very active in a diverse climate. I'm liking them very much.

Being an avid walker who lives in the Northeastern region of the US, I have so far found these winter trekkers to be very comfortable. I walk about 15-20 miles per week. I have had 2 other pairs of Merril winter trekkers; one pair that I liked very much, but the other pair not as comfortable. Both pairs have held up to snow and mud very well. I am hoping that this new pair will as well.

A must have for winter walking on snow or ice with Vibram sole for traction.

Too wide heel slips love the shoe, I have narrow heels love the tread tried Mens size 7 and womens size 9. loved the shoes, just what I wanted but they were too wide.

great shoes - i wear these pretty much everyday and really like that they are waterproof, so the weather doesn't affect whether i can wear them out or not. i usually take a long walk before work in the mornings (about 3-4 miles), and they are very light and comfortable for the daily stroll.

The fit is great! My feet are warm and dry! Great traction on snowy and icy surfaces!

Just love these shoes. I've been buying them for a few years now. I wear them throughout the winter no matter what outdoor conditions I'm facing because they remain warm, provide great traction and my feet stay warm and dry. I no longer wear the large winter boots. Quite an achievement considering the winter weather conditions we can face in Sudbury.

I wear them for walking golf course on wet days below 50 degrees. My feet used to get so cold golfing on colder days but these shoes are warm and have good grip for golf swing.

Great for any outdoor activity - it's a comfortable, sturdy shoe/boot. It is pretty easy to get on as you can step into it. There are no ties to deal with. The tread on the boot bottom is exceptional! I feel safe walking on snowy & icy trails. Another positive aspect of this boot is that my feet stay warm.

Love these shoes. I slip them on in the morning and slip them off at night. Great outside for walking the dog. Shipped and arrived well under the stated date. When the snow isn't a mile high, these will be my shoes till spring.

Purchased these for running errands and light walking. They have been incredibly, I live in a rainy city and they keep my feet warm and dry. I ended up wearing them as part of a 1.5 hour march and my feet stayed warm and dry and didn't hurt the next day!

My granddaughter borrowed my winter boots for our first snow when she was visiting from the south. So I gave these shoes a try in the snow. We were outside most of the day. They kept my feet completely dry and warm. I wore them a few days later for a house walk in drizzling rain where we stood outside for 30 minutes per house. The waterproofing works! I like the arch support too, and my toes were not crunched with a heavier sock.

These are perfect for winter dog walking in New England. Solid, warm and waterproof.

I am using these shoes in England and Scotland now (first week in December). These are the best! Good for serious walking and low temps /rain. I'm so glad I bought these shoes for this trip. My feet are absolutely not cold at all when I wear these.
