I wrote an earlier review saying that I was unhappy that they increased the rocker and changed this Clifton 9 GTX from the regular Clifton 9 which seemed to be the only shoe on the planet I could wear because of the combination of flexibility, shock absorption, and ability to toe off the ground. I am still unhappy that they changed the rocker on the Clifton 9, as I did prefer that one, but I will say that this shoe also feels a bit firmer than the Clifton 9, and maybe that is why they needed to add some more forward roll. The firmness seems to have maybe increased the resiliency of this shoe while keeping it inherently the same style. So, that is good from a financial standpoint because I won't need to buy new shoes as often. I have already purchased a couple extras of this model. So, while I still prefer the regular Clifton 9 because it was perfect and came in wide, and I have one last pair that I am saving for long runs, this GTX does seem to be lasting longer than the regular Clifton 9, and that makes me happy too. I still stand by hating the Clifton 10. That should not be called a Clifton as it has way too early of a rocker, and this force transfers directly into my hip. As such, please keep making this 9 GTX, if this new early stage rocker of the 10 is the way you are going. If you don't fix this issue or keep the 9 available in regular or GTX form, I may not be able to wear your shoes anymore. Also, the waterproof of the GTX has been great without the snow we've had recently.

This is my second pair of GTX Hokas. I wear them all the time to walk the dogs (it rains here A LOT) and for soggy runs. I also bring them to Disney. You definitely don't want wet feet at Disney. I really liked my first pair, super comfy and weather-proof. But this pair is even better. They do not look like a gore tex running shoe. In fact, I had to double check that I ordered the right thing. But they keep my feet dry and happy during any kind of weather. Perfect for travel!

I needed something water resistant. They are great

I mainly bought these shoes because of a plantar fasciatis problem. They absolutely helped me with that. Im a nurse assistant, and I work 8- 16 hour shifts sometimes. These shoes give all the support and comfort I need to be on my feet every day.

Absolutely perfect for standing on concrete floors all day walking quite a bit using stairs, all while being a bit overweight with a bum knee and back issues (even before the little bit of weight gain) I had purchased another pair of Hoka shoes that were specifically designed for being on your feet all day and they were terrible to be honest, it felt like I was walking around with bricks on my feet, but these are a game changer for sure! I had already purchased the same (colorful) pair over a year ago and those are my normal hiking or walking shoes so I finally got the idea to get another pair, but in black for work. They have great tread so it's perfect in the winter right now, there was no issues with blisters or being too tight. I'm a normal size 8 and these fit really really well. I have been wearing these religiously at work for two weeks and my body feels a huge difference in less pain and soreness.

I have been battling plantar fascia for a long time and have gone thru a few pairs of "shoes" and inserts that all claim to work. We nothing did. Then I decided to try these out, even thou they don't look as "appealing" as some other brands. My foot hurt, and at this point I didn't care! Much to my surprise, they do t look that bad considering how GOOD they feel! Get a pair! Your feet will thank you!

I have several pairs of this brand but the Clifton 9 is my favorite. Extremely comfortable shoe to wear all day, for runs and regular workouts. What I especially love is how your foot slides into the shoe. I often have to loosen the shoe strings on other brands but not this particular style. This shoe rusted to size.

I usually buy the Bondi style for work as I stand for 6 hours with Plantar Fascitis. I just wanted a different shoe for the gym and everyday wear and the Clifton does not dissapoint. Sheer comfort with excess style. Thank you Hoka.

I wear these everyday. Very comfortable and keep my feet warm.

My co-worker recommended this particular shoe to me. These shoes are like walking on air! I went to purchase another pair of Clifton 9's and they do not carry them in that particular style anymore. I had foot surgery and this shoe allows me to walk without looking limpy. My feet feel good at the end of the day. Highly recommend the Clifton 9.

I purchased these for walking on sandy, dirty trails. So far, I have only worn them to nice places because they look so nice. I'm wearing the pair I purchased last year until these get dirty. They feel fabulous and keep my plantar's fasciitis from acting up.

I wear Hokas all the time and usually were the Bondi's. Ive loved them and was afraid to switch but I loved the way these looked and I wanted them to be water resistant so I tried them. They are even better in my opinion more comfortable and they are a little more fashionable I think. I'll def buy them again!

Arrived on time. Loved the cushioning and colot. Very comfortable on your feet when working 12hr shifts. Highly recommend. Wish cliftons have an option for a speedlace.

I use mine daily at work and everyday use. I'm on my feet all day as a healthcare worker. The first time I tried them on I was sold. Support and comfort all in one shoe.

the Clifton GTX is one of my favorite shoes, I live in snow country in and out all day, my feet stay dry, which I love, I wore one pair out, on my second pair.

My Clifton 9 GTX is very light and feels so good in my feet! There is so much support that I love wearing them all day! This HOKA was a great choice although my other HOKA's are great, also!

I'm quite happy with my shoes. It's perfect for long walks. Nice to have soft steps. It's breathable. Just my own size. I don't know yet if it's really waterproof.

Used for hiking, working at a horse barn, walking through wet grass.

Wearing these in winter conditions of snow and slush. The Gortex lining keeps my feet dry. Good tread to bite into plowed paths and streets.

This is my 6th pair of Hoka's. I work in the meat dept at a grocery store and needed a shoe that's water proof & nonslip. My 1st pairs were the Anacapa low GTX and while technically they're not nonslip they worked perfectly. A few months ago I order Anacapa low GTX 2 and they were horrible. They clicked & my heel slipped. I sent them back. I had bought some Sketchers and that was a big waste of money. So I ordered Clifton 9 GTX and OMG I'm in heaven. 1st day at work and it felt like I was walking on pillows. So many of my coworkers question me about them and rightfully so, they're pricey but now they're all wearing them.
