I was a little disappointed when my feet got wet in rain. I'm use to gore-Tex being completely waterproof, otherwise it's a very comfortable shoe.

hoka has been my go to since my physical therapist recommended them to me for recovery after i shattered my left leg and ankle in june of 2024. with just recently breaking my right leg in june of 2025 and having a boat load of hardware in my legs, it was no question, i knew i needed a new pair of hoka's before even attempting to return to work. the clifton 9gtx's are the most comfortable, bouncy, & supportive shoe i have ever owned. i went from barely being able to walk without pain and a limp to being able to run, jump, and even get back to work with no complications! with these being work shoes, i was looking for something waterproof for the rainy days and these are perfect. unfortunately, with the type of job i do, they just don't last super long. this is my second pair (work shoes only) within in a year so, that's my only complaint but that's not really on hoka. i think they would last a normal person a lot longer but i walk/jog 5-10 miles out in the elements in during the work days. i would definitely recommend to anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet or for anyone who needs a comfortable supportive shoe with amazing impact support! oh, if you're in between sizes or they don't have a "wide" option, size up!

I am a big Clifton fan but went over to the Gaviota because I need a wider toe box. These Clifton were a great buy, They are definitely waterproof. When I take my dog for a walk in the morning and the grass is wet my feet stay dry. This is a big yes for these. I just wish the toe box was a bit wider. I don't have wide feet but because of a bunion need more room by the toe box. Other than that they are perfect.

These are extremely comfortable the only issue I have is they dont breathe due to being waterproof. I work in these and waterproof is required. I would recommend based off the comfort of the shoe.

I bought these shoes specifically to wear on my early morning exercise walks to keep my feet from getting wet on the grass. I typically wear the Bondi style and wish the waterproof would come in that style too. I am hoping this pair will last longer than my previous pair as I only wear them for my morning walk 4 days a week. They usually last only 6 months because of issues with the soles deteriorating.

This was my first ever purchase of HOKA's love the shoe, I ordered my normal size which is a 6 1/2 but I should have got a 6. Shoes are a little big.(I could have sent them back for an exchange but I didn't) so I am not complaining just making future purchasers aware you might need a smaller size the. Normal.

The GTX shoe is a little different fit than my regular Clifton 9's. I'm really not sure what it is. I am keeping them. I bought them for an upcoming cruise to Alaska and I have found if I put my Powerstep inserts in them, the GTX shoes feel better in the instep. With my original pair of Cliftons, I don't use the inserts.

I work in a factory, and am on my feet for 10 plus hours straight. I often leave with backpain and my feet aching. These shoes literaly feel like I'm walking on clouds. I hate when my toes feel scrunched together, and these shoes have plenty of toe room as well. Part of the sole is detaching, so I'm a little bummed about that since I've only been wearing them 2-3 weeks. Otherwise they are very durable.

The fit is really good and the support feels just right. I have really had some issues with sport shoes in the past but this is really a good choice.

Super comfortable shoe, but don't last more than four months and that is being generous. This may be because I am more sensitive to wear and tear since I buy these shoes because of foot pain. May last longer for someone with no foot pain at all. When new they are so comfortable my feet don't hurt.

Love the colors and comfy fit . This is my 3rd pair of hokas and I am having to exchange them because they are too small . I was told the sizing is the same but im having to go a half size up from my previous shoes .

I really like the shoe, but I wish it had come in or maybe it wasn't available. I need a little extra room, but other than that, I am enjoying them in the rainy weather!

For some reason I feel that the material is stiffer than the pair I bought In The store. The tongue on both sneakers have a wrinkle In them and That looks a little weird. I love the color.

I expected a little bit of a stiff feel to the fabric given the Gor-Tex protection, so that aside these are great. I use these as my regular runners now and likely will through spring depending on how long they last! This is my first pair of Clifton 9's, and second pair of Hokas. I was running in my Bondi 8's but now use those for daily use. GIven that I'm running, walking and standing all day on a Peroneal tendon tear, these are the only shoes i can wear for hours or miles at a time. Love the support, look, and feel.

I started wearing Hoka this summer as it was one of the brands recommended by my podiatrist to help reduce the discomfort I experience with plantar fasciitis. I tried on the Bondi 8 and the Clifton 9 and found the Clifton 9 sizing better for me. The Clifton 9 GTX is my second pair. I wear these daily for fitness walking.

I've had 5 pairs of Clifton 9s, and these are the first that aren't comfortable. Bought the waterproof fabric to take on a trip as my backup "know they'll be comfortable shoes," but don't know that they'll work as they feel too tight. Am guessing the waterproof fabric doesn't have the "give" that the others do. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the box so can't return.

I bought Hoka sneakers after getting measured in-store to ensure the right fit for my online purchase. While they're incredibly comfortable with great cushioning for walking, they turned out to be slightly big. In hindsight, I should have ordered a half size smaller. Overall, they're comfy and well-padded, but be mindful of sizing.

I am an early morning dog walker and have so loved my Bondi 8 Hokas but was tired of soaked socks and wet feet! These GTX 9s are just what I needed . They are not as cushy comfy as the Bondi 8 model, but they feel good enough for our 3-4 mile morning walk!

Ok I love these shoes!!!! Just two small factors that kept me from 5 stars. One being the tongue is not attached by elastic it is secured into the side of the shoe so it is more snug. The second is that they are narrower than the original Clifton 9 without much give. I truly love them!!!! The colors are so fun and hoping the GTX will help them hold up longer than the usual 6 months.

I was planning a trip to Denmark and wanted to make sure that I was protected from the elements .These sneakers were perfect for my travels and for future inclement weather.

I love these shoes, once they are broken in they are so comfortable

This is a great looking shoe and I love that it is waterproof. However, it is made more narrow than the Bondi 7 that I love and makes it somewhat uncomfortable after a while. I wish it had been offered in a wide.even though I've never needed a wide shoe before.
