I started with the Bondi 5, which was a very comfortable shoe, but newer versions were much too narrow for me in the toe box. I actually needed to buy a size 8 wide to be comfortable and then they were too long to be stable. Super Runners measured and had me try the Gaviotta. I tnow have 3 pair in 61/2 wide, which fit perfectly. This is the only show with a roomy, wide toe box. The cushion is plush but still offers a great ground feel, and the stability frame is a plus. Please don't upgrade these into something less comfy. It's perfect.

I purchased these shoes as a gift for my granddaughter. She loves them. The quality is very good and they are very lightweight. I would recommend to others if you want a shoe that will hold up good and feel good

At first I wasn't sure I was going to like them, with the addition arch support I was nervous. Once I broke them in which probably only took about 2-3 days, they are some of the most comfortable shoes, I walk around a lot during the day with school and work and haven't had an issue. If you have flat feet like these then they will be great for you.

I have 2 other pairs that I've worn out. These shoes offer great support, have terrific balance and I wear them daily even just around the house.

The support keeping my foot from pronation or supination is strong. The critical arch support is there, along with the slight rock to keep the flow. They are cushy and light. They keep my knees and back pain free.

LOVED! first time my narrow feet fit a shoe without my toes being pinched. I'v tried so many HOKAs - regulars pinch my toes, wides are sloppy, bigger just don't fit. Trying a men's size is a joke. I've even tried my orthodics with all. But they aren't needed with the gaviota 5, perfect for narrow feet, high insteps, planter fasciitis, roomy toe space needs. Oh please don't change them like you always do every year, keep these for us!

I have Metatarsalgia and my shoes have to have a lot of cushion or the bottoms of my feet hurt. Hokas are the only shoe I can wear all day and not hurt. I will never wear anything else!

Great shoe. Feels like a foot hug-not too tight or too loose in the toe box. Arch is comfortable. I have terrible feet and love these shoes. True to size, so, with very thick socks does affect the fit. Will buy again.

I put these on and straight out of the box wore them all day around the house. They immediately felt comfortable. I have overpronation, bunions and easily get plantar fasciitis so I usually cannot wear the same shoes for more than several hours before I switch. I had seen Hoka advertised but have spent so much money on shoes that do not work for me that I was hesitant to spend the money for these until my doctor was wearing them and she also has some foot problems so now I am looking for a second pair that would work better to wear outside on my muddy road. I feel as if I may need a wide in order to have more comfort with thicker socks so I am going to consider my next move.

Purchased this pair of HOKAs for their stability since I recently underwent spine surgery. My balance is compromised but , this shoe has a terrific base to aid in my balance.

I cannot recommend these shoes enough!! So first off, I wear a 12 wide and through the years, it's been really tough to find a properly fitting shoe. This shoe fits SO well! The toe box is wide enough and the heel is fantastic! I've worn the Arahi's previously, but these Gaviota's are a game changer. The cushion is outstanding!! Lastly, we have Disney annual passes and as such, do around 6+ miles on any given park day and these shoes make it a breeze!! I'm shocked! This is Day 6 of our current Disney trip and not one single blister and zero foot pain!!!

I was hesitant about purchasing your HOKA shoes, but my feet are glad I did. They are very comfortable. A little pricey but comfort comes first. I will be buying more shoes in the future.

I had purchased the Bondi 8 in 2023 and was very happy with it and I knew I wanted another pair of Hokas but wanted to try a different style. I went with the Shoe Finder recommendations and decided on the Gaviota 5. I have two screws in the base of my left big toe and every step still hurts but I've found that this style helps minimize that pain. Very pleased with my purchase.

I am recovering from a broken foot and got these shoes to wear after I stopped wearing the assistive device. They are fantastically comfortable and easy to wear. Other reviews indicated that the arch support is too high, that is not the case for me. They actually aren’t high enough for me, so it’s personal. Yes, the toe box is wide, even in the medium size. It’s intentionally designed for stability. I don’t know if I would be able to run in them, but for my needs of walking comfortably after an injury, they are perfect and they look nice enough too.

This is my 3rd pair of Hokas. I am 78 years old and I bought them for their stability. I had been falling frequently and these provided an additional benefit to help avoid injury. I highly recommend Hokas!

I bought for my daughter who had a broken ankle 2 yrs ago. Working on a feet 6 to8 hrs a day...she was in pain daily. I had tried these on in a store and noticed the support on this particular style. She loves them and is much more comfortable at work now.

Fit and size perfect. Toebox big enough to accomodate a bunion. Bought another pair of these for a friend who is always on her feet at aork and walks to work. They fit her, and we both like the color of the blue ones. If the weather is cold, you need to wear warm socks with these as the breeze goes through the shoe material, which is excellent in summer.
I'd also recommend:
None, just Hoka.
