The color of shoes in the box did not match the shoes ordered or the description on the box.

I bought these shoes specifically because of the stability they are touted to provide, but found my feet and ankles rolling more than they ever did in my New Balance 928s. This caused a lot of foot an ankle pain. In addition the shoes are gigantic on the outside and oddly shaped, I looked like I was wearing clown shoes. Still if they had been supportive, I would've worn them despite their appearance, but they were not. They're also very squishy inside, which I think was adding to the problem. The cushion in the sole is so soft that they can't support your foot. They actually made my feet worse. If you truly need support ankle and roll support, do not buy these shoes.

Walked several miles on these. Ended up with blisters and pain that lasted days.

After opening the package, I noticed a piece of scotch tape on the bottom of the shoe that was holding the sole of the shoe on. The sole of the shoe is falling off

while they had very good cushioning for the sole the foot box was still far to narrow for me and they lacked ankle support necessary for the taller stance had i not worn them to work I would have returned them.

I sent them back. The shoe felt like there was a stiff cardboard sticking into my feet on each side of each foot.

even though i ordered a Wide size, when i tried these on, they were *narrow* !! due to problems w/ my big toe, they were just not comfortable. good news is that the Clifton 10 Extra Wide and Skyflow Wide are great!

Bought these shoes because I've heard from others and the website said how good these shoes are for walking etc. I walk 10-14k steps a day and don't get any pain relief.

Didn't line fit or design wrong width

They don't have any arch support.

I have had this for a month now and I had to buy additional insoles. These do not have cushion as I am on my feet all day!

These shoes are okay. They are comfy to wear short termbut not to wear all day. I'm a nurse, when I wear these shoes, my feet are achy by the end of the day. And they look hugelike really wide.

I have bought this model multiple times before. This time it is too small

I am a nurse and on my feet all day. This shoe advertised for nurses or people with jobs standing all day. These hurt my feet non stop. Not a good fit for my job.

I tried 2 widths of Gaviotas and both were too tight. I returned both pairs and awaiting a refund on the second pair

Although I ordered a wide width shoe, the toe box was too narrow.

Will not purchase again

I teach in an elementary. I ordered a wide in my regular size and they were rubbing my feet.

Ordered the same size as my Bondi but was much larger/ wider. Could not use.

This is my first time wearing a Hoka shoe and I am very disappointed with the Gaviota 5. I wear a 9.5 medium in Merrill, Skecher, Dansko and Teva but the 95. medium Gaviota 5 is way too wide and long. It takes me forever to lace them up and unlace them because they are so wide and the heel does not fit snugly. I really needed these and didn't want to go through the hassle of exchanging them. Yes they are plush with a wide base for balance - almost too plush as you sink into them which takes more effort push off and move forward. They wear out way too quickly. After just two months of walking the front, outer portion of the sole is nearly worn flat. My Merrill Moab and Skechers last for 2-3 years with extended walking. Asics also wore out out within thee months like these. I will stick with Merrill and Skechers going forward.

Horrible

I guess my feet don't like Hokas. I bought them for a Disneyland trip. I gave them 2 months to try and break in. They fit different than other shoes. I had heard so many wonderful and amazing things about this brand. It took another 2 months fr my feet to recover after the trip. They are now just sitting in my closet and I am disappointed that I spent that much money on them.
