I was worried about the few extra ounces. These babies give such a smooth ride over the loose trails that I don't even think about weight when I'm running. Wow I have wider feet but Stinson 7 give me what I need in width. Absolutely love these on the trails.

I recommend.
I used to believe that all shoes were the same except for styling.
That was my limited experience with traditional brands over 50 years.
Then Hoka. I hesitated because of the price, but my bunions shouted loudly one day and entered my card info.
I've now worn Bondi's, Anacapa, Bondi SR and now Stinson. Each has its own personality. Level of cushion, support, traction, stability.
Thoughtful innovation and nuanced details improve
My quality of life, make walking and taking trips bearable if not enjoyable. I am also thankful for the security that comes with a little extra stability built into the Stinson.
Advice: Hoka website helps you find the right shoe to meet your specific needs and the shoes deliver. Don't take my word - Hoka has a return. Policyto make sure you are satisfied.

I love the Stinsons. I use mine for hiking during my travel season which starts in April and ends in mid-October. The Stinson's design is perfect for my feet which ultimately affects how my legs feel at the end of the day. I also wear them as an everyday shoe as I can often walk between 15 to 20k steps per day

Great fit, very comfortable with firmer sole than the Gaviota. It will be a go to for every day or walking for exercise

I've been wearing Hoka's for a number of years. They were recommended to my wife when she broke her ankle. Both she and I are true believers in the brand. This was my first pair of Stinsons and they have not disappointed. They are plush but give me the stability that I need. I am the outdoorsy type so I love the extra lug on the bottom. I thought they looked a bit clunky but after putting them on they look better than my Gaviotas. I would certainly buy another pair of these shoes.

Literally all day at Disney "12 miles" and I had no problems. I used to purchase the Gaviota 4. For me the Stinson 7 feel better even though they don't have wide sizes. I usually wear a 11wide but the 11.5 are great. I bought a second pair that's how much I like them.

The sizing overall was correct. What didn’t work for me was the style change. The toe box is not as roomy. The front of the shoe use to be more rounded and is now narrower. I need the space so will be looking for another shoe. I find hoka shoes overall very comfortable and am sad to see the product change.

I bought this shoe for my husband as I liked the women's version for myself. However we had to return them as they were too narrow for his foot, otherwise he liked them and would have kept them. If Hoka ever has them available in a 14 wide he would love them. We would reccomrnd them for any man that doesn't have a wide foot.

SO glad to get this new pair....I had been functioning on another model by HOKA & great to return to my Stinsons. No; not for those looking for responsiveness, but sometimes in life, it's a trade off :-)

I wanted the Bondi for walking/hiking stability. Unfortunately, they were not available in the color i wanted. So i did a search for an all around shoe with stability. These were the ones recommended. Considering they were listed as Trail Runners, which i didn't really want, because usually, this means they have a plate in the shoe for rock protection.. and/or cleat like treads for greater traction on the trail it was a big risk to purchase these as i primarily wanted them for walking asphalt and only occasional trail hiking. However, this turned out to be one of the best purchases ive made in some time. They were comfortable right out of the box, so i tried them on a seven mile street walk on a hot day. They kept my feet cool, and had great traction and stability even in sandy areas. And they do NOT have stiff spike like soles. The sole is wide with stability protection which means i did not have to put in a replacement ortho insert inside either! The built in stability helps keep one's foot from "rolling" on uneven areas. Additionally, i did not order a wide or anything, but this shoe was perfect right out of the box in regards to width (needing no break in.. in that regard). The toe box has more room than the other Hoka's ive had and i appreciate that my toes are not jammed in them until some unknown break in period. The only two drawbacks were that .. one.. unlike my bondi's, they did require about a mile or so for the initial stiffness to loosen up due to the stability which keeps the shoe "planted" on the road/trail But after that.. they were incredibly comfortable. I had initially considered Merrell Agility Peak 5 (which turned out to have that plate insert for rock protection as well as cleat-like traction making them incredibly painful on the asphalt), so i am very happy i went with the Hoka in the end. Oh.. that second draw back, which was the coyote color? As it turned out they were slightly lighter than pictured. Hoka? Please make in simple sand color!

I have been walking lots for my diet program. I have a sore left heal from a bone spur and when walking with my new Hokas I don't hardly know I have a sore heal. Have been walking much further with these shoes!

I love these Hokas due to the fit and the fact they correct my over pronation. That being said, I must purchase the men's size 10 because the ladies shoe jumps from a size 11 to size 12. In Athletic shoes,,I definitely wear a size 11.5. Please note, this brand is not the only one that does not carry an 11.5 size for women; however I must say this men's shoe isn't as bulky as many of the other brands.

I started with Clifton nine and loved them. Then I happened across Stinson7. This is my fifth pair (so that I have choices in color).
I've tried almost every other HOKA model. Although it's only offered in a D width,The Stinson has the best wide toe-box without making the heel too wide. Also, my foot just feels so well planted in the shoe it helps this 71-year-old "gym rat" walk with a certain degree of confidence (maybe swagger), certainly stability.
Also, it doesn't hurt that I get back about an inch of height that I seem to have lost somewhere along the line.

Most golfers are well aware that Hoka does not make a golf shoe. Most golfers, and everyone else, know that Hoka makes the comfortable hiking shoes you can buy, hence the dilemma. Vijay Singh has been seen on the course wearing Hokas, and I'm sure there are many others. The problem is that hiking shoes do not have "turf" treads like regular golf shoes, but you can find Hokas with "lugs" that can suffice... for now. I have tried several different Hoka models on the course over the years and these new Stinson 7s are the best yet, for me anyway. The Bondis are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, so the perfect golf shoe for me would be a Bondi with golf-style turf lugs. The Stinson 7 is as close to the Bondis as you can get as far as comfort goes and, as a "trail" shoe, the lugs are about as close as you can get to golf turf tread in a Hoka. Most pro golfers would want less of a stack height and would probably want a zero-drop configuration. I'm not a pro golfer, I'm a 70yr old weekday warrior looking for maximum comfort without slipping & sliding on wet grass. Plus the neutral H-frame support is exactly what the doctor (podiatrist) ordered. HOKA, please make a golf shoe! In the meantime, these are working out really good!

This is my fifth pair of Hoka's. The great thing about all of my Hoka shoes is that they feel great from Day 1. The Stinson 7 are indeed comfortable and quite stylish. I just love Hoka's.

Very comfortable!! Sturdy and well built! (Tore my altras first day out)
