I had the same experience as a lot of the other reviews. This show was one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever worn. And it also fell apart faster than any other shoes I've worn. The upper materail coming seperated from the sole and the inside heal liner completely worn out with the foam coming out. Very dissapointing because I love the feel of these shoes and would love for them to be a go to but not when they start deterirating within a month.

fit and size were good, durability was poor, they have already started to separate the sole from the uppers. the tread was minimal, a sidewalk shoe. The look was mediocre, the reflective strip resembled a stain on the shoe.

The sole of this shoe is so stiff that ,combined with the shallow heel, I'm moving around in the back of the shoe while climbing. I don't like the shoes. They are soulless, but the did come with soles.

I paid, they arrived. Zappo sent me three different coupon codes while these were in my cart for a week. None worked with Hoka. Will likely shop elsewhere next time.

These are my first pair from hoka, based on plush and stability mentioned hoka site bought these and it's been almost a month now .
I use these weekly twice or thrice for 4 -5 hours see no problem with right leg but my left leg pinky finger hurts .. Initially thought this because of new shoes need more time but see no change , seems either construction or items which send to me has issue

This is a second review after an initial 5 star review for how super comfortable they are and the perfect fit.
HOWEVER.....
After only a few weeks of wearing them the front materials started to peel away from the inside part of the upper shoe side. Will post pics if allowed.
Definitely a huge design flaw and I know that I cannot be the only one to notice this within the first few weeks of wearing them.
I am returning them for a full refund which was very painless and switching over to try the Speedgoat 5 GTX in Fiesta/Thyme Color scheme. I really hope that there's no separation between the upper shoe and the sole on these. Crossing my fingures because these are definitely the most comfortable shoes I have worn in a very long time. Just extremely disappointed in the build quality.

I have ran about 80-100 miles in these and the upper fabric is separating from the rubber sole in 2 places at the forefoot. Is this normal ? These are expensive shoes and I'm surprised they're already failing ? Can someone from customer service contact me to fix this and send me a new set

I have been trail running in Hokas for years. Purchased my new 7 in a HOKA Store. First run with the new Stinson 7 yesterday was very disappointing. Much less stable running on Rocky dessert trails. Could feel the rocks and nearly twisted my ankle several times. Comparing my atr 6 to the 7 they reduced the width by a lot and cut down the cushioning which makes the reduced performance more than noticeable. Would not recommend. Find the old atr 6 and stock up.

Arrived in used condition. They look like someone has worn them for a month already. The original box was clearly beat up, so it should have been obvious that the shoes were used. Super shady business practice.

Matt from Doctors of running recommended these for hiking. so I bought these shoes for short weekend hikes. They tend to run narrow in the mid foot. This should have been the first warning sign.
Though initially comfortable the first month, more recently they became really uncomfortable and started giving my blisters at the top of my left arch if I wear them for 2 to 3 hours. Unfortunately, I am out of the return window and Hoka wont take them back.

I have loved all my hokas but there's a slight tear in the right top panel and it's getting bigger. Not sure if I have a warranty. I only wear them for work and I know that I didn't damage it. this hasn't happened to any of the other pairs that I've had for a lot longer.

I returned this product because it started falling apart within a week or two. I contacted your customer service and was told I would have to take it to a UPS store to return it and wait for it to be evaluated and refunded and be without shoes for god knows how long. There would be no compensation for having to go out of my way and being without the shoes and my money. Best they could do was 10% off my next purchase which is no different than what you offer new customers on your website. When I asked to speak to supervisor I was told that request wasn't approved. I am a nurse who has bought Hokas at least twice a year for 10 years. I have never been so dissatisfied with a customer service experience in my life. First you don't stand behind your products or make any attempts to fix a situation appropriately or keep a loyal customer. Just absolutely disgraceful. I bought these shoes for my fiance bc after years of wearing them I told him he needed to try them. Now not only will I tell everyone how they fell apart I will tell them what a terrible company you are to deal with and how your customer service is a nightmare and not to give them your money. I really tried several times to give you guys an opportunity to make it right but you clearly don't care. For shame!

The shoe is comfortable and with plenty of tread I'll give them that but It completely fell apart after only two months of light wear. My toes have already poked through the fabric on both shoes, The fabric is coming apart from the base of the shoes on both sides with both shoes, the fabric by my smallest toes are now ripping. There's a solid 1.5 inch hole in the side of my left shoe from this. Oh, and the plastic art/design that is on top of the fabric of the shoe is all peeling off. I've only worn them about three months now and they look like they've been run over by a lawnmower. This isn't normal because I've owned two pairs of Hokas in the past and lasted me much longer. This is my worst shoe from hola yet. When I looked online I saw that unfortunately, many people are discovering quality issues with Hoka. I'm gonna stay away from Hoka until this is fixed. My shoe cost 150 and three months in I already have to purchase another shoe.

For years it's been Hoka or the highway. After three decades of trail running and both meniscus done, Hokas (Speedgoat and Stinsons) had me on the trail with zero pain. When it came time to invest in a new pair, I read the Speedgoat reviews and hoped the many reports on poor quality were isolated to that model. Nope - less than 15 days after putting on my new Sinson 7s, after two walks to break them in, I took my first packed dirt, zero grade trail run, and while stretching, I noticed the mesh upper pulling away from the rubber lower on both sides of the left shoe. What a colossal disappointment. I'm happy to pay two hundred dollars for a shoe that gets me on the trail, but not when it falls apart two weeks later. I wonder if Hoka's corner cutting to save material and assembly costs is worth parting ways with another loyal customer. I mean, how do you get one back once he/she's gone? Sad. For both of us.

My Stinson 7s uppers have split at the toes on both shoes - a rip on the fabric.
My older Stinsons did not have flimsy fabric on top - hoka went cheap and I paid for it
The shoes are barely usable and I've had them for a few months

I have loved my Hokas over the years and have had 4 pairs of Speedgoats, then switched to Stinson's last yr after visiting a Hoka store and trying them on. I loved them! Wore them on a 75 mi trek on the Alta Via 1 trail in Italy then continued to run in them putting on 600 miles on them. They lasted beautifully. In May 2025 I purchased a new pair of Stinson 7 and after 20 mi they started falling apart. Becoming unglued. I returned them for another pair and the second pair did the same thing. They started falling apart after a few runs. I took them to do TMB Trek and after they looked like they were going to fall off my feet. After talking to an agent they only suggested returning for another pair. I love the Stinson 7s but this is ridiculous. Have to imagine I'm not the only one dealing with this. I'm not sure what to do? Returning them for an another only to have to do it again is not the answer. Hoka- can you problem solve this and get me a pair that are going to hold up?

I purchased two pairs of Hoka Stinsons directly from Hoka online. I had hoped to use them on a continuing hike the Continental Divide Trail. In the past, I had a good experience with three pairs of Hoka Speedgoats.
After only ten miles, the Hoka Stinson 7 forefoot upper began to separate from the top edge of the shoe. Basically, the seal between the fabric and upper edge came apart. It appears that it was poorly glued. It occurred on both sides on each shoe. It is a material defect. Because I am hiking I don't have the luxury of the Hoka warranty rigamarole. I am disappointed that a trail running shoe has problems after only ten miles.
