These shoes are a lifesaver for me, allowing to spend the entire day on my feet in comfort. However, I really dislike the limited and ugly colors available! Why aren't they offered in an unobtrusive navy blue, for example? On another note, they have a very high platform, which makes me insanely tall. Although I consider myself very fortunate as a woman to be 5'10"+ and very slender, my Hokas make me more than 6' tall -- too much of a good thing!

Ok shoe compared to previous model. New tread is improved. I am a mid foot striker and the new mid foot to toe transition is not as smooth as the previous modeled Stinson.

I love these shoes, so I was surprised when after a week of wearing them I noticed the top of shoe separating along the inside front edge where fabric and rubber meet.

I just use it for walks and everyday wear, it feels better after each time I wear them. Initially I liked the Bonsi better but they get better as I wear them. I found them to be quite slick at first on wet surfaces but whatever was on the sole has worn off now.

I need cushioning and stability for severe pronation, which can be a tough combo to find. These really excel on any terrain and make me want to get after it every day. They work so well that I've gone through 2 pairs so far. On that note though, there's room for improvement. It would be great if they had Vibram soles so they don't wear down so fast. Also while the mesh upper is well vented on hotter days, it'd be nice if they had a water-resistant variant for more year-round use. Very glad to see the new Stinson variations like the EVO and One7 -- hopefully they'll keep improving this line!

I love this shoe, fits me perfectly with just the right amount of cushion and stability. Could be excellent with waterproofing, also with a high top GTX version for hiking and river crossings. That would be the perfect hiker.

This shoe is stable and I like the plushness but it quickly deteriorates with normal wear. There also needs to be wide sizes available with more of these shoes. I've been buying these for a while but am considering looking at some other brands recommended by health care workers and hikers

Purchased 2 pair men's Stinson 7's on-line. Unfortunately, these shoes did not fit me well; I was expecting the same fit as the Stinson 6's, which sadly are discontinued. The toe box on the Stinson 7 is a tiny bit more narrow than the 6's and that was just enough to make the shoe uncomfortable for me. Even though I returned both pair I am rating a 4-star because I do like the Hoka brand and am confident I will find a model that will work for me.

Early assessment is positive for the Stinson 7. Not crazy about the color (2nd choice, 1st choice sold out in my size). I'll give a conclusive review in 6 months.

I thru hike the PCT every year; 2652 miles and go thru five to six pairs of Stinsons per year. The cushioning, the rocker, the tread, and upper material are near perfect for the task. After destroying about fifty pairs, the only glaring con is that the forefoot is not foot shaped. Thru hiking causes your toes to splay out, as they naturally should, but Hoka refuses to offer a foot shaped shoe, so i must modify mine right out of the box with heat and scissors to accommodate my toes. Why oh why won't Hoka sell a Stinson shaped like the human foot??!

I wanted the Stinson but the women's version does not come in a wide so I purchased the men's. With the sizing chart and going by the EU size I was able to get a good fit. The Stinson is one of their narrower shoes - which is a shame. Even the men's version is not as wide a one would think for a D width. That being said it is a good comfortable shoe with a nice trail tread. And I really like that this year they added that rubber-ish material to the toe area. Much easier to keep clean.

I would not describe these as plush cushioned. If you are expecting the feel of Gaviotas or Arahis you are going to be disappointed. But they are great stable shoes for the trails.

I ordered to Stinson 7 shoes to use while playing golf. I'm a senior golfer who wants to walk on the course while playing for the benefits of exercise (sorry, but jogging is just way too boring & hard on the knees). I love the Bondi 9 shoes but there's not enough grip on the bottom of the soles for correct weight transfer required in a good golf swing. Although not near as comfortable as the Bondi 9, the Stinson 7 does have small "cleats" on the sole of the shoe, particularly on the outside edges where ground stability & grip are of paramount importance. Since HOKA does not make a golf shoe (not yet, anyway....hint, hint) I'm using the Stinson 7 as a substitute for "real" golf shoes. Most golf shoe manufacturers are not as aware as HOKA when it comes to arch support & cushioning for walking over-50 aged golfers. Again, while not perfect (hence, the 4-star review) for golf, the Stinson 7 is better than most golf shoes for walking 18 holes (about 5-6 miles).

I'm still giving a four because this is a great shoe however it is nowhere near as plush as the Stinson 6. I do like the fact that they extended the tongue because that was a major complaint on version 6 but this just is not the same shoe from a cushioning standpoint.

I bought the Stinson 7 at D#### because I could only order the awesome color through them and not on the Hoka website. These shoes do seem to be wider than your typical Hoka, Even though the shoe doesn't come in a wide size. I was pleasantly surprised as I had to give up on Hokas for a couple years. I wore these shoes for 2.5 days in the house and found them to be comfortable! So I started wearing them at work. My feet were a little uncomfortable at my fifth metheads on day 1, but I didn't give it much thought. On day two, my feet were feeling squeezed and my met-heads were painful. The next morning, they were still red. I just found this to be a bit bizarre. I thought it was from the harder trim on the side of the shoe but when I stick my finger in the shoe I felt a pretty flat but slightly ridged (?) seam where my pain was occurring. The seems were located at the whitest part of the shoe where my met heads were located. Today I wore my old and worn shoes from another brand and had no pain. Not sure when I'm going to do! Since I've worn them in and out of work I don't think I can return them but it is a very costly problem to have. My foot is a little bit wider so I wear men's shoes. If you don't have that issue, I do highly recommend these shoes! They appear to be a good quality and generally comfortable, the laces are long enough and don't come undone and the tongue stays in place.

I bought these Stinson 7s for their more rigid forefoot rocker, and aggressive sole. It's one of the few shoes that I don't have to insert carbon or fiberglass inserts under the insoles to keep my big toe from flexing upward with every step. Generally, it seems like a good orthopedic shoe for those that need stabilization in the forefoot area. I went up a half size as well, to accommodate my excessive bone around the 1st metatarsal phalangeal joint. Living in the mountains, I need an aggressive sole for outdoor year round use. They are very comfortable, and if they get more flexible with time, I'll put some inserts in. The only thing that is not ideal for me, is that the tongue is to thin and not stiff. I need to adapt my shoes as slip ons, and this tongue slides down and bunches up when used this way when I insert my foot. I modified this problem with a sewing awl, by sewing the upper tongue to each side of the shoe. Works great.

I like these shoes for me, but unless you're a very large human like myself, you might not like them. They are huge and heavy, it feels like you're wearing low top hiking boots. I use them for hiking/walking on dirt roads and trails, some jogging at times. Not a nimble shoe, and they look a little dorky.

First Hoka’s. Most shoes I’m a 9.5, glad I got a 10 with these. Just right. They are large sneakers. Bulky, but not heavy. Very comfortable. I like them a lot.

From the moment I first put them on, I thought they would be a great shoe to wear day to day. Lightweight and sturdy with good feel underfoot, I was beginning to like them. I put them on the second day, and my knees and ankles begin to hurt as I started walking. I read that this was a stability shoe, but it did not feel like it. In general, it was a good shoe, just not for me.
