For some reason Asics has decided to make the tongue of this otherwise excellent shoe shorter and without cushioning so that the tongue pokes me in the front of my ankle. Have to return them, sad to say, since I love the narrow width.

Unfortunately Asics continues to change the sizing just a little but every year eventually makes a difference. I have already gone up from an 8 1/2 to a 9 to accomodate for the yearly sizing changes. This year however, the toe seems to be even narrower and it cramps my toes.

I need a half size larger in this shoe

I was not pleased with these shoes as they felt wider in the forefoot than I wanted them to be.

The fabric is not as substantial as earlier versions. The heel piece comes higher up on the foot as does the rest of the shoe. The tongue is thin without padding. The front half of the shoe has a much wider base. Love my GT-2000 10's and all the ones before. It is time to find a new brand/style.

These shoes are very squishy and have a lot of cushion, which makes them feel unsupportive. They are also a whole size too big for me. I usually order a half size larger in running shoes because I wear thicker socks, but my feet swim in these shoes. I think I need to order a half size down from my dress shoe size. Consider that these shoes stretch more than the average shoe after wearing them once. I'm unhappy with this purchase.

I returned these the heel cup was huge, and pushed my foot forward, they did not fit at all. really disliked this shoe.

I've always been an Asics fan but these are definitely NOT living up to their (previous?) standards. There is very little arch support and little cushioning. My feet used to always say "ahhh" when I put them on but sadly no more. The color is a little obnoxious too.... very bright blue. They just feel cheap. Time to move on. (I do like the top material they used instead of the mesh which always tore or didn't keep out the water.)

I have worn the Ascis GT series running shoes for at least 15 years, and had excellent fit/comfort, until the last 2 times I ordered. The GT 2000 11 had a change of the soles that really affected the way they affect your balance....I noticed quite a difference!! Although I am not a runner, I am on my feet and walking a LOT, and have had extensive back issues/surgeries...but the GT series were my perfect, go-to shoes for 15+years! Well, I made due with the GT 2000 11, and learned to 'adapt' to them, although it did take awhile! But, needing another pair, I ordered the GT 2000 12, hoping for a better shoe---but they were not!!! Something about the change with the soles/make up of the shoe, they throw my balance COMPLETELY OFF!!! Hence, they are still sitting in the box, and do not work for me!! At the time, I could no longer find the GT series, made like the earlier models. But, lately, while looking on Asics site, I do see that they are making them again....called the GT 2160, and look to be very much the same design as earlier models. Unfortunately, I do NOT see them available here on Zappos site, for some reason. I have loved doing business with Zappos for several years, and am very disappointed they are not available here. :(

I have very flat feet and I wore these shoes twice and it made my feet hurt very badly

Everything was great about this shoe except that Asics has made the tongue shorter and removed the cushioning so that the tongue pokes the front of my ankle with every step. Had to return them. I've been wearing Asics for years so I'm very disappointed.
