I used to buy only NIKE\NB shoes because I guess they were just popular and didn't know better but I could never run on hard surfaces not even a little without feeling knee and back pain, I thought it was just an old injure that would flare up from time to time. Until I decided to try some other more expensive brands known to be used by runners and I bought my first ASICS GEL-Excite and I didnt go back to another brand so I just got this one to replace my old ones and they feel excelent. Good support, perfect fit and without breaking the bank.

Asics is a good brand for me. As usual with workout shoes, I go up 1/2 size from street shoes. The arch fits me well (light pronation, medium width) and the toe box gives me the right amount of wiggle room. I have 5 pair of Excite 8 - love them: 1 pair of Excite 9 - length is good but overall fit and support feels loose. I can wear a thicker sock but I prefer a thin sock. I've worn them so few times that they are going in the donate pile. Somebody will get good use of them as they are a good shoe, just not for me. I have not worn these Excite 10 much but the fit feels like the Excite 8 with more cushion (like the Kayano model). A good shoe for a moderate price.

Fit and size are perfect. I'm recovering from ankle surgery and these make my feet feel great!

Fit great, felt great and looked great

They felt great but there was way too much room in the toe box. I've had many pairs of Asics but never encountered this.

love them for workout. Not the type of shoes for most support though.

Long time fan of Asics - but I don't feel like they are as cushiony as they used to be. And the tread wears away - FAST.
