I use this sneaker everyday, it's really comfortable and doesn't seem to wear down, it holds my arches up. Well worth the money

Having worn the Gaviota myself, my husband decided he wanted some also. There are equally as good. Just beware that the colors shown are not true to life. We ordered the oyster mushroom, thinking they were a tannish color and they are much more gray than pictured.

After buying a pair of Gaviota 5s in a women's size and a men's, I have to say the men's is a better quality build. (Plus there are more color way options for wide feet). The upper mesh material is more durable in the men's, but the trade-off is that it's not as comfy as the women's. Overall, great shoe. I walked all day in New Orleans with these and my feet weren't barking at the end of the day.

Nice looking shoe, but even when I sized up a bit, the width still felt narrow. Was a little to spongy for me, as I'm not a runner and really looking for everyday work, but nice shoe and that's a preference thing.

I have wore these shoes for almost a year now. I use them for walking and a short jog. But I do like the support they provide I even used them for a softball tournament and they held up great. Since I am getting older I needed some cushion these shoes are not soft and squishy but have a more of a firm feel about them. I also like the arch support they provide which is great, but these shoes tend to feel that your heel is sinking in when wearing them. Shoes are hard to come by that don't cause me pain I'm going on 37 years old and these shoes provide the support I need.

I bought the Gaviota each year a new version came out. It was my go to shoe. Then they redesigned the Gaviota 5 and widened the toe box. My foot slips around too much now they feel like clown shoes on my feet, I searched and searched for a new brand my feet liked. I found only one the Brooks adrenaline. I hope Hoka changes it back one day

Ive tried and owned several Hoka shoes. Gaviota is by far my fave. I like the stability it offers and the spacing inside the shoe.I'm only wishing they make a black with white sole that I can use for every day at work.

Really beautiful shoes, but size 7 was surprisingly huge. And it is a size I normally order for a pair of walking shoes. Had to exchange for size 6. Very happy with a new pair, fits just right, looks great and feels comfortable.

I love Thomas especially the Gaviota 4s. I search everywhere for them bcmecausw I had the 5s and they were way to wide, even the B width. My feel are swimming in width yet length are are perfect.

I keep going back and searching for the Gaviota 4 because the 5, even in the B width, is extra wide for my foot. Not comfortable that way.

I loved these shoes but had to return them because the wide wasn't quite wide enough. Hoka, please make them in x-wide!

Coming from the Transport then Clifton 9 that were too narrow around the toe box and hurting my toes, the Gaviota 5 had room to spare, though after those other two I did move up one size. However, as a stability shoes I found it to be extremely stiff compared to the other two. This thing will keep you grounded and solid, but I needed something softer. People complain about the soft top but it is the best part of the shoe. If you need stability, this is the shoe for you. I did return it after a week of daily use.

These shoes are so comfortable for walking or running. I feel amazing when using them, and they are great. I wish they were a little more stylish and less chunky, but if you are looking for a low-key shoe for daily morning walks or runs, these are it.

I am a woman with a wider foot, and I own three pairs of Hoka Gaviota 5, all men’s regular 8.5. Two pairs feel great, and the third hits my arch slightly too far back, which requires a different insole. (Go figure…) I love them for the stability, cushioning, wider toe box and lower heel drop, all of which are game changers for my multiple mobility and joint issues. The down side is that they are clunky looking, the soles have worn faster than the uppers, and two of the pairs have developed an annoying squeak. Still, they are what I wear most days, and I will likely buy them again for the comfort and stability. (As an FYI, the Hoka Stinson 7 is another favorite of mine, but I size up a half size.)

Love how they look (they draw comments), and I can walk without pain in my feet and legs. This is not true of all Hoka styles, much to my surprise! (I've had to return some pairs because of the comfort issue.)

I got a standard size of these shoes last year and I was super bummed at how tight it was around the top of the shoe, right along the bottom part of the tongue. I powered through it and broke them in. They did wonders for my plantar fasciitis. Super comfortable too. I tend to wear shoes pretty hard though and needed to replace them as the insoles had fallen and the back of the heel piece had worn through the fabric and padding. The plastic piece is now scraping my ankle. Looking forward to a fresh pair in wides!

I recently picked up 2 pairs of Gaviota 5 from my local run clubs (2 colors). The Gaviota 5 has the widest toe box of the Hoka line up. What brought me to Hoka about a decade ago was the high cushion ride, fun colors, and wide toe box. I felt crazy in 2022 when I bought a Clifton in February and it didn't fit well. I'd previously had 3 pairs of Cliftons that I loved and fit great (shout out to the Outdoor Voices collab line). I've been buying Hoka since it was Hoka One One and we were on the Challenger ATR 2. I love the current Gaviota toe box but was told at the run club that we might see it get narrower in the fall/winter Gaviota 6 drop. Please please please just leave a model or two for us wide toe box loving girlies. I need the space and the cushion. I don't need the stability, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I love colors, so swapping to the men's is boring and depressing. Also, concerned a wide would be too wide through the midfoot and heel, which is not a need of mine. Overall, I miss having more options, but as long as you have one for me, I'll come back... but please please please keep great color options! (Run clubs I went to were Fort Worth Running Co (highly recommend),Fleet Feet (fine, but busy), and Lone Star Running Company (had what I needed, stricter return policy).)
