I already had a pair of the colorful Gaviota 5s for the gym, but love the all black version for everyday wear. They're so comfortable with lots of cushioning. Also love the Anacapa hikers, most comfortable hiking shoes/boots I've ever had.

I am a plus size woman and am on my feet all day. These shoes have made a huge difference. Previously, my go to was the ASICS Gel Kayano. 100% will buy Hoka now. I loved them so much, I have now purchased for my 70 yr old mother, my hubby, and our college bound daughter.

I am 55 years old, 6 feet 5 inches tall, 300 lbs, my knees take a beating, I needed to do something to lose weight, I just couldn't walk without so much pain. I bought my shoes and things got better. I started with 2 miles at 49 minutes, in two weeks and new shoes , I was down to 32 minute's for two miles, now I increase my mileage to 3 miles and almost at 16 minutes a Mile, missed it by 3 seconds today. December 3,2024.

I am female and wear the Gaviota's. As a woman, you only need a half size down from your woman's size in this shoe. I wear a 10 in women's gaviota , and I'm a 9.5 in the men's gaviota. Excellent arch support. I also have a Morton's neuroma that does not hurt as long as I wear these shoes and the shoe isn't worn out.

I did my research and decided to purchase the Gaviota 5. I have had right knee surgery and I over pronate. I needed a shoe that was comfortable but provided firm support. Not all HOKA shoes meet this profile but the Gaviotas do and exceeded my expectations. I have use the ASICS Kayano for years and love them. I find the Gaviotas to be a better shoe.

These are the shoes of my dreams! I have a large bunion on my right foot, so that shoes that fit the right are always too big for the left. With every other shoe, I had to pad the toe of the left shoe, and my foot still slid. This shoe, however, with its large toe box, fits both feet perfectly. Many comments say that the toe box is so large that they look like clown shoes, and I don’t disagree, but I’ll take the fashion hit for a shoe that fits both feet. I bought 9 pairs!

I am a physical therapist with flat feet and chronic valgus strain. 3rd Gaviota I've worn and my son also is on his 2nd pair no longer walking long distances in campus but now working as a nurse . I have my coworkers and patients using Hokas too!

For me they have been great for my job working in an ER. A little pricey I do admit but I feel like you get what you pay for if you are on your feet all day and moving around. With a good pair of moderate compression socks (Bombas are my favorite) my barks aren't dogging at the end of a very long day.

The fit was excellent. While the toe box is wider than the Bondi 6 I've been wearing, it feels very comfortable. Hokkas remain my favorite walking shoe, and I'll be back for more!

These shoes are so comfortable they are dangerous. I'm 47 but these shoes make me feel10 years younger and that I can run twice as far as I should. I purchased a second pair. Highly recommend!

I wear the gaviota 5 sneakers for work, because I am on concrete 40 hours a week and have flat feet. They are very comfortable. At the end of the day my feet, ankles, knees, and hips feel good.

I have large, flat feet. Size 13 is a challenging size to buy shoes for. I also have had several bouts with plantar fasciitis over the years. I have to be very aware of the quality of my shoes at purchase for fit and comfort, and of the wear and tear they go through during ownership. These Gaviota's have been the best for my feet of any I have owned for at least the last 5 years. I have support for flat arches, plenty of space for toes, and with appropriate stretching, no recurrence of plantar fasciitis. In sum, these shoes are the best.

Working in an Emergency Department is very hard on your knees and feet. I've been wearing Hokas for about eight years or so, purchasing a new pair about every 6 -8 months. I have converted many of my coworkers, none have been disappointed.

I'm an avid walker, 10-13 miles a day. I've been using other brand sneakers, but my feet were paying the price. My feet were always sore, and I couldn't make my walking goals every month. A friend recommended Hoka, my life hasn't been the same. These sneakers are super comfortable, light, and can stand up to miles of walking. The soles don't wear as fast, and they get better with time. I'm on my second pair, and plan on never using any other brand.

This shoe is light, sturdy, comfortable, etc. It also looks very nice. I wore it to prep and do a half-marathon walk, and my feet/knees/back all felt cushioned and supported.

The GAVIOTA 5 are PREFECT ! This is my 5th pair of HOKA shoes, all are different style names and different colors. The GOVIOTA 5 got the WIDE toe box correct and the comfort and stability is amazing. I've had several orthopedic surgeries and now I am on the mend with the help of my HOKA shoes.
