I really like this for a shoe that doesn't fit me right. If they were able to make them in a wide would be awesome. They're very comfortable otherwise other than my squished toe box. They get lots of compliments.

50+ miles now. Feel very good on my feet. They are light and cool to hike in. I do not like all the debris that gets into the boot! I have to stop at 3 miles or so to clean out. The Kaha do not allow this. The Kaha 3 feels way better under my feet but the Anacapa feel better around my feet. If that makes any sense. Having both work for me in the Mountains of PA and WV were I live.

I am 5'11" and around 170. I purchased a size 11 D and the fit is about right. Just a scooch on the large size but a heavy pair of hiking socks fits well with the boot. If back packing I would probably wear a liner sock with a lighter hiking sock. The boot is fairly light weight so not sure how it would hold up on a long trip. The fit is helping with my plantar faciitis. My one problem with the boot is there is no place for the strap for a pair of gaiters. The heel is not elevated as with most shoes so I have to walk on the strap of the gaiter that goes under the arch of the boot. So I will see how long the strap on the gaiter lasts. Also the boot is not water proof. Resistant maybe but not water proof. Hiked in heavy dew and feet were soaked. That is the reason for the 4 star instead of 5.

I love this boot, have worn it daily as a courier for nearly a year now. My only criticism is that the Hoka website offers this boot in wide sizing infrequently. I check every day to see if they've restocked. I would love to see the Kaha available in wide as well.

Got the high tops for ankle support. Wish now I would have gotten low tops for more General use.

I have waited to review - I got these shoes about 10 months ago. My daily step count has almost doubled since I got them - I wear them almost every day. So comfortable and great to stand in all day or walk or light hike. My only complaint is the inside is wearing out intensely and holes have worn into them pretty intensely. They also get a bit wet on the top in any light rain or wet grass. But I still recommend these shoes despite it. Just wish the inside was more durable.

Generally like them however the insole / sole became less comfortable over time at the balls of my right foot so had to invest in better insoles to make them more usable

These boots felt great and then by the third day the inside of my heels started killing me and were tender to the touch. The only thing I can figure is that the heel isn't as wide as normal.

Love these shoes. Extremely comfortable. Hiked several miles everyday in the Canadian Rockies and my feet never felt so good on so many hikes. It's quite warm and snug and quite a bit water proof. Walked around a few waterfalls and these stayed dry from the inside.
Won't recommend for hiking in warm weather though.

Very nice hiking shoes, but could have been a bit wider in the toes.

Usual Hoka quality (this is my fourth pair of Hokas) but the toe box is too narrow. Had to exchange and upsize to find a good fit. Now I'm fine.

Active 66 yr old with diabetes! everyday wear for ankle and foot support. I can't tie shoe strings well and takes several attempts some times, frustrating. Can we not get velcro closures. Also need wide sizes EE...

Would like to see Hoka improve on shipping process. It shouldn't take days to process an in stock item and then ship.
the quality of product is great, no issues. would recommend Hoka to others.

No matter how I tie the laces, the shoe laces come loose after an hour or so. Shoe is comfortable like a cloud. Just securing the foot for longer hikes. May need to return

I'm using this show as my work shoes. I'm just a few weeks into wearing them. I stand for 4 to 5 hours at a time, and average about 7 miles per day of walking in the shoes. Overall they are very comfortable. They have eased the hip pain I had wearing sketchers. Not completely alleviated l, so it might be something with me. I'm 50 year old male about 20 lbs overweight.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box and felt like they provided stability I was expecting more cushy feel like my HOKA Clifton 9's though.

Work hard n my feet most of the day and have had many different shoes from tennis shoes to safety boots, and these have felt the best. No fatigue or back pain. Only issue slight bit of pressure across the top of the foot.

The hiking/work/military boot business is huge. The Hoka Boot needs to look more like a boot. The footwear needs areas that can be boot shined for duty wear. Other athletic footwear brands have come out with a boot which looks like a boot. The toe and the heel need a piece which can be shined.

I've had plenty of pairs of shoes before, but none have made my feet smell as bad as Hoka shoes have. I have two pairs of Hoka shoes and they both make my feet smell bad after only a week. Although they are VERY comfortable, the smell is unfortunate.

Poor quality. Very disappointing. Shoe laces started to fray within two months and shoe lace cleats defective and loose. The inner cleats of the shoes get tangled with each other, almost causing me to trip a number of times. Shoe soles still squeaking. Wish I could return and exchange them because they are one of the worst quality shoes I've purchased from Hoka.

Great shoe, but I wish there was a wider size available. Very tight in the width, probably should have returned them. I seem to be having a hard time finding trail shoes in wide!

I normally wear a 12 wide in other Hoka's (Bondi 9 and Clifton 10). When I saw that the Anacapa's do not in wide sizes, I purchased 12.5. It is a very narrow and flat boot. I bought it for work, but I can't wear it every day. I'm hoping that they will stretch out in time for better comfort. Unless Hoka starts to offer their boots in wide sizes, I will NOT buy another pair.

I purchased these for hiking National Parks ... Yellowstone, later this year. Since other HOKA shoes I've ordered were sized correctly, I chose my normal size. These shoes are very tight to get on and are tight in toe box. These seem to be smaller in size then other HOKAs I've purchased. Very comfortable to walk in but due to being tight in toe box and hard to get on, it looks like I need to find a different pair of boots to go hiking in.
