Time to change the color of the inside of these jackets, how about matching collar to the outside of the jacket ... long overdue, time to change it up.

This warm, windprooof, water resistant jacket is as comfortable as it is functional. The knit wristers and waist band help keep out drafts and the stand up collar provides warmth on a cold day. I bought it to replace a 12 year old jacket I had worn late fall through March on all but the coldest days, when I switch to a Bean parka. The old jacket zipper had become balky and the wristers were showing wear. How I long for the days of the LLBean lifetime warranty!

Good fit and comfort. Could use an outer upper pocket and a large functional inside pocket. ( for gloves or hat what have you.

Nice looking jacket. Only strange thing is the rather noisy stuff filling it, that sounds like scrunched up plastic grocery bags. Otherwise a 5 star.

The quality is excellent, but the jacket could be roomier through the torso. It's especially apparent if you're wearing a sweater underneath.

Comfortable and warm. Fit is true to size. Fabric is a little noisy, but it's also water resistant.

This is my third llbean fleece lined warm up jacket over the last 25+ years. This blue is darker than the previous two, a very dark navy. The darker color is especially noticeable on the cuffs. The coat is also very stiff and loud when worn in the cold; maybe that'll improve after washing. Still warm and comfy with good fit.

Really nice jacket, would have given it 5 stars except it ran very large.

I affirm what many other reviewers have stated - some drop-offs from the historic version (stiffer, louder shell, thinner body fleece, lacking vertical entry interior pockets), but still a nice jacket for a reasonable price. About sizing: It is cut smaller than most LL Bean shirts / jackets. (I can usually wear size L from LL Bean, but needed XL for this one.) Other reviewers noted that correctly too. I like that the collar is still cut wide, so it can lay flat. I did not notice any issue with the waist band and cuff material that some noted.

Love the jacket. On my third one over many years. Only issue is that the cuffs and waist trim are black on the blue coat. Was blue on prior coats. Please bring back the blue trim.

Water-repellent, not at all "waterproof". For me, it's quite warm. In fact, too warm for me in temps above 40F, especially if during anything but a gentle walk. Bought a "large" 4 yrs. ago. It was a bit snug. But this new jacket is an "extra large", but is almost the same fit. In this last six months, I've lost 11 #, so I am thinking that the sizing of these jackets (the fit) may have changed.

warm up jacket---like it but not as hefty or substantial as previous models. prefer old metal zipper versus new plastic. keep your quality, looks like you are starting to cut corners. river driver shirt--not nearly as hefty as previous models. Again, like your merchandise but have noticed a deterioration in your quality.

This is my go-to jacket for trips around town for a midwest winter. I recently purchase my 2nd jacket after 30 years. I have two critiques though that would make this a 5-star jacket for me. First, as others noted, the body length is cut short. I usually wear a regular jacket but the extra 2" in the body of the tall version (and inch in the sleeve) is just right so the knit band falls below the belt. My other issue is that the nylon shell has a hard finish. The shell material of the 1st jacket from years ago was supplex nylon that felt more like soft cotton than a hard nylon shell - I wish you would bring that back!

Sleeves on tall are a little short compared to other LL Bean talls

This is a good jacket. I got it in Navy, in my usual LLBean Tall XXL. The fit is fine, and the sleeve length and the warmth level are excellent. It washes and dries nicely, with no pilling, stretching, or shrinking. The only issue I have is that the zipper does not work flawlessly. It is rather sticky, and sometimes difficult to zip. Never impossible, and does not seem likely to break, but not smooth, so somewhat annoying.

But alas the jacket "fits" as in he can zip it up, but tight in the shoulders. His chest is 39 inches, and an older jacket being replaced was a large. Ordered an XL-hope it doesn't run big... My husband has lost 40 lbs in the last 3 months. All his clothes are too large. What a surprise that a large jacket is too small.

Please put a decent zipper in the Jacket. Fabric doesn't wear as well as in previous years. Still the best.

I wear this jacket through most of the winter and have had several over the years, but now the collar feels stiff when raised, and there's no way this thin smooth fleece is "300 weight" anymore as claimed, so just not as warm (and of course no longer Polartec).
