I bought this jacket for my husband while at LLBean In Freeport Maine. He loves this jacket. He tells me it's very comfortable, it's warm and well fitting. He loves the 3 in 1 feature and told me really likes the burnt orange color, it's a nice change from his other blue or green jackets that he has. I think the jacket looks great on him and as always, being from LLBean, it's a great quality item.

This is the second 3-n-1 I've purchased from L.L. Bean. It's a great jacket. As a windbreaker, it is excellent for when it's cold, but not too cold. With the fleece insert, it is perfect for colder weather. I live in Texas and you never know how winter is going to treat you. This jacket is perfect for that. Very pleased!

I got this for my husband's birthday and he loves it. It's made well and should last many years. The 3-in-1 features and hidden hood inside the collar make it so practical for any season and weather.

Really warm and comfortable. Love the zip out fleece liner. Works well in Chicago winter.

Another quality coat from Bean. Versatile and attractive.

This is a replacement for my three and one jacket from L.L. Bean that is 30+ years old and still usable. I love the new one already and has a few small improvements that are welcomed. Thumbs up for this purchase.

I bought one of these more than a quarter of a century ago in bold orange, my favorite color. It was my signature look for decades, and though the zipper got cranky towards the end, I'm pretty sure Bean would have fixed that. One sad day when I was volunteering at a homeless shelter, it dissapeared off the coat rack, never to be seen again. I hope it gave someone else some good use, but they probably didn't keep it all that long. It was originally called the Stormchaser, so I thought it was Bean who didn't carry it anymore, especially as the hood was shown out in all the pictures, and the stowaway hood was one of my favorite parts. Then I happened to be in the store, refreshing my flannel shirt collection, and stumbled across the jacket...but in black. I tried it on and knew it was exactly the same jacket my shoulders remembered after all these years. But black? I asked if it came in other colors, and yes, they said...there's a navy....and well, orange. Here's the thing. They'd probably never seen anyone actually get tears in their eyes over a jacket before. I'm older than that wild guy in the orange jacket... and ultimately, I did go for the black. Still, maybe I should have a backup? If there is one thing I'd change, I'd line the fleece inserts' arms with something that wouldn't bind when you put them on or took them off. As it is, it's part of the jacket's charm. Hang onto your shirt cuff or the jacket will try to take it with it.

I like the look, feel and versatility of this three-in-one jacket. The fleece lining zips out and is very nice to wear by itself. The out jacket is water proof and has a cell phone pocket. The hood rolls up into the collar when not needed. The only thing I would change is the length. It comes to my waist and I wish it were a little longer.

The jacket is perfect for travel and the liner looks great by itself. We love the color and versatility.

My husband loves this jacket. Some stores are selling three season jackets without a zip out lining so be careful. The quality of this jacket is great. It is not inexpensive, but the quality is worth it.

I am 6 foot even, 200 pounds. I typically like a bit of a looser fit with my clothes and depending on fit, fluctuate between large and XL sizes. I ordered both L and XL of this coat for that reason. The Large leaves a bit of room with something light underneath like a T-shirt, or with the inner polyester shell out, though with the shell in and a hoodie underneath it fits just right, not too tight but also little wiggle room. The XL had the wiggle room I liked when bundled underneath, though unless I'm dressed for a blizzard, I'm swimming in it, so I opted for the L. Ideally a size between would be perfect, but the large will suit just fine as I'm looking to wear just the outer shell on wet and more mild days as well and for versatility the large is the best fit. Providing this detail in case anyone else is my height/weight is in a similar boat with deciding between the two. Returning the XL. Great coat!

Very nice medium winter jacket. Large tall size. The red color is a bit more orange/red but that's ok.

This jacket is perfect for the winter in New England. It is cozy and warm and blocks you from getting really cold from the wind. I highly recommend this 3 in 1 jacket.

Standing coat for the winter time perfect for ice fishing

I've owned this jacket for many years and have found it to be comfortable, durable, and good looking. And while I do understand others complaints about the fleece lining and its tendency to bind up when putting it on, I find that comfort outweighs the annoyance. I just have to remember to grab my sleeve and pull. Living in Texas the jacket is perfect for most winter days with the exception of the occasional bitter Norther. Even then it does the trick if I'm not out in the cold too long. Thank you LLBean for a product that both works and endures.
