We love Billy shoes for our 5 year old son who wears SMOs. They increase his independence and accommodate his brace, but also look so typical and don't call attention to his differences (something that is very important to him).

Perfect for little girls with AFOs. She gets to style and still have support. Love the xwide are available!

PROS: This new line of shoes came in extra wide sizes and fit over my daughter's braces (each foot had an inner and outer AFO). She is 10 and it has been difficult since she was 2 to find pretty or even ugly shoes that fit over them without them being 2-3 sizes too long. Other brands would have the zipper opening but over time it broke. But these came very close to a size that was near her size. They are pretty and the zipper works so well that she is independent putting her shoes on. She says they are comfortable that she can wear them for long periods (that used to be a fight). They also had sizes in extra wide up to youth or big kid 7 which allows her to choose young looking shoes longer instead of transitioning into old lady old looking shoes at 12 or 13. CONS: I hope they put out more variety of pretty shoes . white shoes at this age look dirty quickly and only black is too generic, and possibly a boot line for winter.

5 stars for the ingenuity and simply creating such a useful and good looking shoe. It's great to have options that work well with braces and are easy to put on. A couple thoughts for improvements would be that the zipper could be a little more sturdy. Having to stretch over the AFO puts more strain on that and it catches sometimes... hoping it doesn't break but we are still getting used to the shoes and braces so we'll probably figure out a way to make that easier as we adjust. Also, it would nice to have laces that don't come untied as easily... most shoelaces have this problem, except Under Armor... they seem to have figured it out. Of course, we can double-knot the laces on the Billy shoes so it's really not a problem... just an idea. Overall a wonderful product that meets a need where almost nothing else does. Sending a HUGE THANK YOU to the Billy Footwear creator and team for one less daily struggle this momma has to deal with for my special needs kiddo!

They fit great with my daughters AFOs and are easy to get on and off. We've bought a few pairs of Billy's and these are our favorite ones.

Easy on, easy off, very cute style and colors. I may only shop here for my daughter's shoes from now on. She wears special braces (AFO's) and these are the easiest shoes we have ever tried out of all of the other brands.

My son has very wide AFOs with a pretty high wedge and these shoes were perfect for him. I'm so havpoy we finally found something that works.

Much more durable sole than previous AFO compatible Billy shoes. The XW is perfect for my son's braces. Hope they come out in some new colors soon too.

These shoes work amazing for my son who wears orthotics! As he keeps going through growth spurts no other shoe work! I also love the independence these shoes provide him, by having him zip his shoe, it is a great fine motor skill that work on a lot.

This shoe company is Awesome. My granddaughter has a brace on her one foot and they are perfect for it. I am so thankful we found this company. Of course their regular shoes are awesome as well. We will be buying from them forever.

These are godsend! My 7 yr old wears AFO'S and I have never have been able to find shoes that fit or is as easy as these were. I got the black tennis shoes and a tall pair too. It was easy to measure, I did go up a size just in case and they fit perfect! Thank you

Love the look for my daughter. The tie-dye goes with everything. I especially love the sport-wide style. It's wide enough to fit her orthotics and not too wide that it looks bulky. This is her first pair of sneaker-style Billys and we love them!

My granddaughter love her shoes. The only problem I have is that there is not a lot of variety to choose from according to size we a xdr other than that great place to shop for AFO'S.

These are the only billy shoes that fit my daughters AFO's perfectly. Easy to get on and off. The width is great and I love how it's cut out around the ankle for ease with the AFO's. I want to buy another pair, but the price point is so high.

We love Billy shoes and have previously purchased multiple pairs of the high tops for my 5 year old who wears orthotics. He recently got a new set of AFO/SMO combined orthotics. This new set have a hard plastic bump out on the sides near his ankles, which did not exist on his previous orthotics. We tried multiple pairs of shoes (all X-wide) from Billy and other brands that have worked well for him in the past. However, these were the ONLY shoes that we could find to fit this particular set of orthotics due to the lower sides near the ankles. We are also very happy with the appearance and quality of the shoes. I have a feeling we will be buying more pairs of these shoes in the future if his orthotics continue to have the same shape. It would be amazing if Billy continued to expand the collection of the lower top zip up line with additional colors/styles.

Better air than the original Billy's shoes. Zipper could be better as far as staying zipped up.

I really like these Goat Shoes alot better than the original Billy's shoes. They are more stylish and also isn't as heavy. However, I do wish the zipper stayed zipped up longer

The shoes are good looking, well made, and easy to put on. My son really likes them.

Hands down the easiest shoe I have ever put on my son. He's 27 years old and wears AFO's.
