The collar Lining of the shoe was stiff without the soft cushion and uncomfortable for a long run.

Rare dissenting voice here. I trust its a good shoe based on other reviews. It made a lot of sense for me in theory based on previous types of running shoes I've used and favored. This one just didn't work, always felt beat up leg-wise, never felt like a comfortable fit, didn't pop. Running shoes can be highly personal and quirky - who knows.

In short, the Adizero Boston 12 is a fantastic, cushioned trainer platform let down by an awful tongue design. As a neutral trainer it excels, with responsive cushioning on a slightly rockered sole that encourages an efficient midfoot strike. Minimal lateral stability, but this is a road training shoe and the sole thickness is not ridiculous like some modern trainers. The toebox has a generous width to let the forefoot splay properly while the midfoot and heel are held securely. The big head scratcher is Adidas' decision to put the thinnest, most uncomfortable, lightweight racing tongue in a trainer. I can only wear my thickest socks with these shoes; otherwise it's immediate blisters where the tongue meets the top of the foot. No variation of alternate lacing could fix this. Adidas, I don't care if the shoe weighs another ounce because it's a trainer!

It's not for everyone. If you're after a daily runner this is not it. I found the cushion very stiff, uncomfortable and constantly giving me blisters. I have an arched foot which seems to make it worse. I've done around 30km in it so far, hopefully it will break in and get better.

This shoe fits well and look nice. The cushioning was a little underwhelming in comparison to EVO SL. I thought the carbon infused Energyrods would make up for it. Still a solid shoe for 5 to 6 mile runs. Any further is a little rough.

This is my fifth pair of Boston's but the 2nd pair that has caused significant rubbing and blisters on the top of my big toes on both feet. There seems to be something on the inside that is quite sharp and over time becomes extremely painful. Not ideal for training and hopefully feet recover well during my rest week. In the mean time I'll swap back to a different model. Only seem to have issues with this model, never had issues with any of the following; SL, SL2, Evo SL, Adios 5-8, pros 3 /4

It doesn't feel as comfortable as other running shoes straight away, a bit firmer than I thought they would be.

The shoe is a bit narrow in the toes and a bit loose in the heel.

Great looking shoe. But not ment for those with narrow foot. Forefoot is very wide.

Shoe isn't for me. The set-up of Lightstrike, Lightstrike Pro, and energy rods is too stiff even after 100KM.

I ran 200km in these Adizero Boston 12s before writing this review. I'm 47 (M) and run about 45km a week. I have mixed feelings My main criticism is that the shoes feel very narrow in the mid-foot which clamps the foot there, leaving the heel loose. A solution is to use heel-lock lacing but the laces provided are too short - so I bought laces 10cm longer to allow this. The hole for putting your foot into the shoe is small and unforgiving and I need to drastically loosen the laces before getting the shoes on, so they do not feel like comfortable shoes to easily slip into and get going with - getting ready for a run feels like a bit of a palaver as a result. I have wide feet, but not excessively so, and I have come from a more bare-foot style of trainer. The size I have is right (in length) and I wouldn't have wanted a size up. I would advise considering an alternative if you have wide feet! Having said this, when on and laced (with a heel lock) these shoes feel supportive and propelling - they are definitely fast! I'm slowing down as I age but these shoes straight away took a few seconds per km off my regular runs without any other alterations, and they feel just as good at the end of a long run as when you start out. I'm training for a marathon and feel I could wear these at that distance. The outsole has a really good rubber grip which felt good on icy pavements and is even ok on trails. It feels good running in them, so I'll live with the flaws in the design (some of which are to do with the width of my feet), but probably would not buy the same shoes again.

These are great shoes and a blast to run in but they definitely ran 1/2 to 3/4 of a size too big so unfortunately I had to return them. If you're on the fence definitely size down but get these great shoes!

I liked the look of the shoe but when I tried them on the material of the shoe pulled and didn't hold its shape with my foot in them. This may have been to do with the shape of my foot but I didn't like how it ended up looking.

The shoe is a good shoe, but the foam is not durable. When I run I occasionally hit my foot on my other foot slightly and doing this has knocked out a chunk of foam on each shoe so far.

I'm a size 7.5 and majority of the shoes that size fit, but these shoes were way too big for my size so. It was probably for me but take in consideration that this shoe might fit you big, other than that it is a great shoe
