The shoe is a great daily trainer and provides great acceleration and push off from carbon rods. However, I will not buy anymore Adidas running shoes now secondary too both pairs of my Boston 12's coming apart due to glue not keeping sole attached to rest of shoe. Both pairs had the glue start to weak and the shoe fall apart at 60 mile mark.

Good for 20km or under. Maybe a little bit firm until you get used of them.

Fast delivery. Good trainer. Light and good all both recovery and tempo. I wouldn't use for racing though.

Size is true, brought size 9 which are a great fit. Used straight out of the box on a 10 mile run. No blisters, no rubbing. Would've given 5 stars but fell the tongue on the Boston 11 was slightly better and stayed in position

Comfortable and smart looking - a great pair of shoes! The only negative is that they squeak / groan when I move about. Not sure why (and it's not the soles) but it is slightly distracting.

Nice looking shoe in a variety of colourways. Continental grip works great in all weathers. Suitable for road or firm, dry tracks. Good weight. Ideal for mid distance running. Good option for amateurs looking to purchase their first racing style shoe.

For reference: Male, mid 40's, 5'6", 130lbs, 20-30miles per week, shoe size US9 (EU42.5). Likes: Super durable Continental rubber outsole, currently have 130+ miles on the shoes and they have very minimal wear. I have other shoes on rotation with similar miles showing more outsole wear. Grip is excellent too, the Boston 12s are my go to pair for when it rains, I've gotten caught up in spring and summer downpour rains and had plenty of grip, since the upper has that plastic/synthetic construction it dries fast, and the shoes don't feel as heavy when wet. I use them from 5k to 10mi runs, easy, tempo, and some speed workouts. They run long, half a size or a whole size down depending on your feet shape. I recommend trying them out in store. I have them in the black with white stripes color-way, so this is my default one pair travel shoe. It can be a do it all pair. Dislikes: What a long break in period, it took about 40 miles to when they started to feel great and both the lightstrike pro and lightstrike 2.0 softened up and I could feel the bounce. I'm on the lighter side, so maybe it takes less miles with a greater load. The upper is not stretchy and can rub near the knuckle of the big thumb, a good pair of socks solves this. The lacing system is just too cumbersome, it adds too much pressure to the upper of your feet as you put in the miles, I had to keep readjusting the laces mid runs. I ended up cutting the loop section and making new holes for eyelets, I also use a runners loop to keep the heel locked in place and haven't looked back. I'm happy to see that the new version has the lacing fixed, I look forward to give them a try once the continental outsole wears out in the 12s, could be a while ;-) All in all, great pair, just make it past the break in period and they feel great as you put in the miles, the grippy continental rubber and the lightstrike pro/2.0 are a great combination.

other than the non traditional upper of this shoe everything in this shoe is very good. the shoe might require 60-70 km break in run for some runners . the dual midsole of light strike pro and light strike 2.0 does a fabulous job. the outsole continental grip is above average ,though I find the outsole grip of Adidas Adizero SL 2 better than this. Once the shoe crosses the break distance it makes the runs effortless .It is firm midsole combination.
