Customer Reviews L.L.Bean Stonington Full Grain Leather Tote Bag

I loved this tote but after just a few months of less-than-average use, the seams on the handles started separating. LL Bean always stands by their products, and I was able to return it for a full refund without hassle. I wish it would have held up, though, because it is a very nice looking bag.

Liked the overall features, but straps are too short (9-3/4") to fit comfortably on my shoulder. Wish retailers would include strap length measurements.

I fully expected the leather to have natural variations, but there are a couple of areas that just look poorly dyed. Haven't used it, still considering whether to return it. Otherwise, it's well constructed and a great size.

I bought this about 4 months ago to start my first job. Although a bit worried about the thinness of the bag when I got it, I decided to fore go those worries and keep it because I love the look. However, four months later and after only using it for a book, a lunchbox, and occasionally my laptop, it's already ripping at the bottom seams. Really disappointed.

The seams came apart after first use. For the price, I expected better quality. PS: the magnet closure does not work either!

After a few weeks, the straps started to rip apart, as other reviewers have stated. LL Bean must have been aware, as I could get a replacement tote bag without any issues. Item 1 stars, customer service five stars.

Absolutely loved the bag at first, even though the magnet never worked. However after a few uses the handles started to separate, it appears as if they are glued and not stitched.

The handle is 2 piece of leather put together with plastic in between and sealed with some c kind of rubber loved the bag until it came apart after only using for 1 week
