The hat is warm and fits very well. I have cold sensitive ears and the flaps keep them very warm.
My only issue with the hat is the gap between ear flaps at the back of the neck. On windy days when walking with my back to the wind, I must keep my collar up and the hat pushed low on my neck to keep my neck warm.

I needed a warm baseball cap with earflaps. The visor helps to keep the sun off my eyes (I wear contacts so I am more sensitive to light/sunlight). I am also allergic to wool so the fleece is perfect. It may not be the most attractive hat but it keeps me warm and if it gets really cold, I pull a hood over it. I bought a red and blue cap. The blue fits fine but the red was too big for some reason. I returned the red and ordered a second blue one.

Based on following the "how to measure" instructions I ordered 2 size Med.caps; one black, one blue. I must add that after getting both caps, the black one was quite large even after I tightened the tab at the back of the cap. The blue one; (also a Med) fit a bit snugger and was a better fit. I returned the black one. In retrospect, I probably could have gotten by with the size Small had I known the caps could have been adjusted. But I still don't understand why if both caps were the same size, they fit differently. Another case of inconsistency ? As far as comments of the L L logo becoming a advertising problem...I agree. (been shopping with LL since 1980). That having been said; I solved that problem with a seam ripper that can be purchased wherever you find sewing notions. I simply removed the LL label with the seam ripper. (The LL label was right on the front of the hat above the brim). The attached ear flaps are a little flimsy, but they do cover my ears. I'll just hold the flaps down with ear muffs over them. I feel the hat brim is ample enough for shielding a bright sun out of my eyes when hiking.

This is warm, but I am between sizes (M and L) and kept the L. Basically w flaps tucked in I need the large (to accommodate the additional material). Tucked out the M was fine. So it ends up a bit loose with the flaps out and they are not close to my ears so while they provide some warmth, it's not like wearing a hat over your ears. The bill (which is why I bought it - basically need a "winter baseball cap with warmth" for sun glare on snow. It does well for that but honestly I am tempted to just wear a latched baseball cap over my current winter hat. Net, I kept it but still looking for a better fitting solution.

The size Small was too big, even at the tightest setting. Felt like it was more made for a man's head than woman's. The materials were decent, but I'm sending back

Hat sits too shallow on the head. Ear flaps are too thin and don't hug the ears. Semaphore flag design is tacky and sewn too wide so that hat is too broad in front of head. Older plain version of this hat without semaphore design was perfect - much better quality. You have ruined a great product with this reimagined design.

I needed an XS, which isn't your fault. But the ear flaps don't stay down or snug over your ears. Ears don't stay warm. The wind blows right under the ear flaps

I was so excited about this hat - warm AND a brim to keep out snow and sun. However, the cap itself is much too shallow - and I ordered a large.

I liked the style and color, but the flaps just did not feel comfortable on my ears and were too loose to keep the wind out.

Nice winter hat, but don't expect much warmth from the ear muffs. Earlier editions of this hat had great ear muffs. This version had small ones that did not cover the ears well and did not give any protection for the back of your head.

The hat would be warm enough, but it looks strange. I purchased as a gift for my husband. He was not impressed. The logo is too visible and obtrusive. We returned it.

I ordered this hat for myself in a medium, which was what I wore according to my head measurement and the size chart. What I received was a hat that I could barely even get on my head and looked like it was sized to fit my daughter's head (she wears small). I was very disappointed and returned the hat. I have reordered the hat in large and hopefully this one will work.

Bought the S size. Looked like a good hat for our cold winters but it doesn't fit. It's way too large for an older teen or smaller women. If you only use universal sizes please consider XS size for us smaller folks!
