Great size, comfortable, and fun color! Used it for a week of travel fit conveniently under my seat while flying, easy to grab my water from the side pocket holder wile biking, overall great travel bag.

I wanted a lightweight backpack and hit the jackpot with this one. I love the color (ocean teal with red trim). Great quality, lots of compartments, perfect for city errands and shopping.

Perfect size for my high school grandson who carries it everyday.

Great size bag for a carry on or for sporting. I will be using for biking and hiking. I like all of the different storage pockets for phone, food, extra clothing and for liquids.

I own a fair amount of packs. This is my daily driver. Great use of space.

About 5 years ago, I bought for first time one of these LLBean stowaway backpacks. Today, all of my family including husband, daughters, son-in-laws and even toddler grandson for preschooll visits have each at least one if not more of these backpacks. In the years of use, I now respect this backpack as being like the racehorse Seabiscuit from history, Though appearing indistinct at rest, this day backpack is one of a kind steath,, fast, hardworking and talented. Though not the massive backpack to use while backpacking overnight needing solid frame to sit upright, we have used this backpack for long walks, short/long hikes, bike rides, site seeing, airplane/car/train trips. Used in combination with small rolling pack and hip pack to travel without car for two weeks in Europe. We added as needed to secure bigger water bottles carabiners but we need those for most packs also. The compartments seem to hold so many different sized items I'm continually surprised. The stitching and quality are exceptional. There is a chest snap, hip straps and soft cushioned shoulder straps. Zip compartments are sized for small, med, and large items. Incredible backpack. Have extras love them. Cool colors make this purchase fun.

We have a Stowaway Ultralight and we wanted something a bit larger. This backpack is perfect. Good job.

A perfect bag for my travel. I love it. it is smallish in size but can hold a lot of stuff. right amount of compartments.

The stowaway backpack is light and extremely durable. It has plenty of pockets to keep travel needs handy and organized.

I am crazy about this stowaway pack. It's light, big enough for clothes, two water bottles, snacks, small first aid kit, flashlight, and mobile devices. Lots of pockets to stow keys and ID. I used my pack for an overnight ,no camping, and it held a everything I needed for the night and for a winter's day hike. The pack is comfortable, easy to use, easy to clean, and noticable. I got the yellow one. I am so pleased with LL Bean's Stowaway Pack, I bought two more for my favorite hiking companions. I look forward to my day hikes around the world with my bright yellow pack. Bag is perfect for biking to beach and is large enough to carry the essentials, including a full-size beach towel and lotion. I especially appreciate the fact that it can be folded into a small pouch for storage and packing.

This is a lightweight, durable pack. LLBean quality is always reliable.

This is now my daily work bag. Fits my lunch, a book and a notebook, with room to spare. Pop my coffee in the stretchy side pocket, and I'm off! Love all the pockets and the chest-level strap. I take long walks most days, and this is very comfortable to wear for long stretches. Look forward to using it for day hikes as well!

Love this pack. Lots of features for a "small" Pack. Enough room for a day out in winter. Waist and Sternum Straps keep pack in place even with dynamic movements like skiing in moguls. Lash packet is great for wet gaiters to keep them away from your gear inside. The height adjustment on the sternum strap is slick. Highly recommended.

I bought this bag when my kids were on the verge of aging out of the diaper bag, but still needed all the things (snacks, wipes, water bottles). It's perfect for that. My kids are 5 and 7 now and I've had this bag for at least 3 years. I carry wipes, snacks, water bottles, extra clothes, first aid kit, etc. This bag has a lot of room in it and is very comfortable to wear for errands, day trips, and vacations. I keep mine in the car so that I always have it handy.

Bought two different colors for upcoming hiking trip in Utah. Haven't tested it yet there but start using it to work. Finally I have something comfortable to carrying my laptop, notebooks and other essentials which overall are very heavy. Plus I get so many complaints from the navy backpack so I can only imagine when I will "debut" my teal one:)

I needed a lightweight backpack for work. This Stowaway Pack is perfect for me. It is roomy with plenty of pockets.

I have two of these and have purchased others for family members. The Stowaway will be with me on my upcoming trip to Portugal for day trips and light hiking. It takes patience to stuff it into its stowaway mode but practice makes perfect. My only suggestion would be to make the side pockets deeper.
