I bought this day pack to use on a study trip to Iceland, where I knew I'd be getting on and off ships, boats, and busses, as well as doing a lot of walking. This pack was so roomy and comfortable; it easily held rain gear for two people, as well as everything else we needed during the day. A previous review complained about the height of the side pockets, but we just used shorter water bottles, and they stayed in perfectly.

Love the color, love the versatility, love the material. Great bag. I wish they offered other styles in such Amazing colors.

I ordered the yellow originally, and the color just wasn't it for me. I took a chance and ordered the teal, hoping it would look better in person. It's so pretty! My only suggestion would be to have some instructions included or online on how to stuff the bag into itself. It took us a few minutes to figure that out!

Great backpack design for everyday use as well as for day hikes.

Light and roomy day pack. I took a bigger backpack as my personal item on a flight, but this stowaway backpack is great for taking what I need for the day.

We took this as one of our extra carry-on bags on a trip to Scotland--perfect for plane & also great to have on day tours there. Not too big, but fit what we needed.We'll get plenty of use out of this pack.

The Stowaway pack worked perfectly on a family excursion in New England at the end of June. It was big enough and tough enough to carry extra layers, umbrellas, water bottles, souvenirs and wine bottles too. Folding it up was a little interesting at first but became easy once I figured out how it was supposed to fold up. I've owned several very lightweight backpacks over the years and this one is definitely the best. We don't have LL Bean stores anywhere close to where we live in California so I saw it in am email and when we were in Massachusetts, stopped to pick one up at the Dedham location. I'm really happy I purchased this pack.

Used it for endless hiking in the Middle East - it gobbled up everything from clothes to water bottles with ease and it's super comfortable.

Our previous L.L. Bean backpack never wore out, after 20 plus years, lots of hikes and travel excursions. Decided to invest in the new version, w/ many improvements. Once we're used to all the compartments, where to put each item, convenient compartments, we'll be good to go!

I just love this pack for hiking/walks and plane rides. Roomy for lunch, water bottles and a book. Great zipper compartments for my keys, phone, wallet , sun block and more. Plus super comfortable. Never pulls or digs in. Several friends have bought one now. Highly recommend

Great size for a small person and the straps are practical for securing contents.

This bag is very strong to hold quite a bit of weight. I have filled the back with a purse, one liter of water, and a sweatshirt. The two water bottle pockets on the side hold my water perfectly! I love that there is an internal zipper pouch for keys or a cell phone. Most importantly, it's very comfortable to have on your back for long hikes!

Love this backpack! It's perfect for lightweight needs, and packs very well without taking much space. It seems sturdily made, as I've already used it a few times. I especially appreciate it's minimal size and weight. I have other (really great) backpacks that are heavy even when empty, and they're no good when i need low weight and low storage presence.

This backpack is the perfect size and very comfortable to wear for hikes .

Great daypack. I bought my first one, which they had in neon green at the time, maybe 15 years ago and used it hard for many years and on trips. It's got lots of pockets and holds everything I need for a day out touristing. It was getting a little rough around the edges after so many years and was delighted to see the style still existed, with a couple little changes. Bought it again!

I purchased this park for a cross-country road trip to several National Parks. It has held up well so far, but only time will tell. It is made of quality, durable fabric and I like that it folds down for easy storage.

This pack is durable, lightweight, easily accessible pockets -- this is a great day pack!

Perfect size for urban day trips and vacations. It was also pickpocket proof which was an added benefit.

This backpack is working out great. Super lightweight but with lots of space for gear. Made a great carry on - ipad, book, sweatshirt and small toiletry bag fit well. Can't wait to hike and bike with it this summer. Got it in the mustard color and love that it's easy to keep track of.

Fantastic backpack. Perfect size and fits perfectly tucked away on trains and planes. Got one for myself to take to Europe and ending up getting them for my kids as well. Best travel purchase I made!
