Perfect small pack for hiking or travel. I use this pack for travel and for walking in woods at home and for hiking on trips.

Perfect size for day trip or hiking. Great expandable pouches. Lightweight and no bulk. Easy to get on and off. Set up for a water bladder. Used it in Yellowstone for a 5 day trip. It was just what I needed.

This is an awesome pack! I got this right before a 6 week trip to Europe and it is excellent. I've used it as a carry-on/weekend bag for a quick getaway. It served as an impromptu hiking pack and held up to woods, rocky coastal and beach environments. I also used it as a daypack for multiple long days exploring cities and doing sightseeing. It's definitely my go-to daypack from now on. Would highly recommend.

Sturdy, lightweight backpack with good design features.

Lightweight material without feeling fragile. The shoulder straps are cushioned giving more comfort. I used this both as a personal item on airline and then reconfigured for a light hike. Worked great for both purposes for this very newbie hiker.

I am an avid day hiker. Ive been one for 10 years. This backpack is lightweight, functional, comfortable and resistant to outdoor beatings. I've used it in rain, sun, sleet and snow. I have 5 ten years later they still look and work great. I highly recommend them!

I bought two of these a few years ago to just have on hand when out with the kids. Have since used them for all our traveling. They fit great under the airplane seat. We use them for day hikes-Zion, Grand Canyon, Tetons, Yellowstone, CO, SD. These bags have held up through all weather and my now teenagers wear them for hiking too. Plenty of pockets, easily adjustable, dry quickly, mesh back when you're hot, chest clip for stability and it packs down small.

I was pleasantly surprised at how light and durable this backpack was. It was very spacious and packed so many items. I love the multiple compartments. I do wish there were more hoops to hang my items from, but this was a great bag to tagalong on my hiking journey.

This replaced an older version of the backpack. Like this backpack a lot, great for travel because it packs down flat, is lightweight, and has ample pockets to store things.

we have loved ours for years- so light weight, nice narrow set straps for my shoulders (being a female this makes a difference comfort wise). we use it for day trips to parks, museums, etc. Pulleeeeze LL Bean, call me to collaborate and develop a purse size back pack!! I need something smaller than this but bigger than the sling version. I feel like they would sell like hotcakes! I would also buy this smaller version for tween kids (the kid version is a bit too little and colors look too juvenile). I tried the tote version but it is too big and straps are too wide set and hurt.

This backpack is loaded with great features like clips and pockets. It is well-made, and a great size for day trip. It even has a pocket for a hydration pack. Love it!
