I bought this on a whim. Glad I did since it has begun to rain here in Northern California. Very handy and I keep it in the car in case I don't wear my hooded LLBean raincoat(also a winner!). It fits well and gives me enough protection.

I had been looking for a rain hat with a brim for dog walking. This hat is perfect. Unfortunately I have to exchange it as I ordered a medium but apparently need a small. Can't wait for the replacement.

I needed a rain hat to keep me dry when I was out walking my dogs. This fit the bill. The rain rolls off the top of the hat and down the back, avoiding going inside my shirt. Very nice!

Love the style and material of this hat. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I like the adjustable head band but the hat did blow off in a strong wind. It is best for light showers.and serves the purpose for walking my dog. I think I will sew on a chin strap. I have an old broad brimmed downeaster hat for windy rainy days that has a tie strap but the large brim impedes my view and a very strong wind will still flip up the brim. I do think this bucket hat is a very stylish for walks in a light rain and it keeps the rain off of my glasses! I would recommend it to a friend

I love the idea of a packable rain hat, especially one that comes in size small, a rare thing. The only problem is that there is no tie to keep it on your head if a rain or gust of wind comes along, an obvious mistake. Fix that and it's a perfect hat.

Fits my large head well. Only drawback and hence loss of a star is that there are no ties to keep the hat on in windy weather. I will have to sew them on myself.

Just received rose-colored hat--glad I got large because I wanted it to cover my whole head and provide shade for my eyes because I hate wearing sunglasses. Plan to wear it for sun hat as well as rain. Okay to do in the relatively cooler Northwest. Will sew on my own elastic ties for windy weather. This is a drawback, also wish the hat was more breathable canvas- like vs. shiny nylon. But it's a good hat.

Comfortable and packable. The hat fits my head but does not stay on during windy weather, so a chin strap would be a nice addition (lack of a chin strap is why I took off one star).

Nice big brim, size can be adjusted to fit my small head. Would be better if it came in more colors and had a chinstrap for when it's windy.

I love this hat! I think it's cute (I got it in Rose), I've worn it more as a sun hat than a rain hat so far, and it gets a little warm for that purpose, but I still love it!

The rain bucket hat is an excellent item. The width of the brim is sufficient and fashionable. The small adjustable belt in the back is a good feature the height of the dome will accommodate a modest wig; though I wear mine with a bit of my natural hair showing out under the hat. The only suggestion I can makeFor improvement is a tie strap. In Ohio, when it rains it blows.

I have a good sized head and ordered medium. It fit great. I ordered "Deep Navy" but when I checked the color sample to choose the color, it was was more of a marine blue. I was hoping the color sample was wrong. When I received the hat, sure enough, marine blue, not "Deep Navy" as described. LL Bean should change the description of the color because it is definitely NOT Deep Navy.I bought it hoping it would go with the Quilted Riding Jacket in Navy but it does not so I'm returning it. It's a good hat but the color is off.

It's a nice hat, but there's no way to keep it on your head on a windy day.

Bought this for our September trip to Ireland and the hat blew off the first day. Desperately needs a chin strap.

The flaps inside are too small. When the wind blows the hat does not stay on because the flaps are too small.
